Over the years, Gayna took breaks to have her children and spend some time at home and also mastered various part-time jobs as diverse as a microwave demonstrator, knitting collector and selling new homes for developers! However, she has always returned to the world of conveyancing and, in between working, continued her studies. She has been a qualified Licensed Conveyancer since 2008. We used Mullis & Peake for our house sale and purchase, and would highly recommend. The solicitor working on our file was pragmatic and helpful throughout and really worked with us to meet the challenging timescales we were working to. Special thanks also to Shah Al Hoque who had to step in at zero notice to help us conclude matters and exchange contracts that day - he was calm and focussed and got us over the line! Gayna was extremely helpful and supportive as I navigated a stressful and at times overwhelming period when I moved house in 2023. Gayna went above and beyond, meeting in person at short notice, offering guidance and reassurance. Crucially, she communicated well and often, in an always professional manner.

The service provided by Gayna and Mullis & Peake was brilliant, I was a first time buyer and didn't know what to expect but Gayna was so helpful and answered all of my (many) questions. She was efficient and kept me up to date with any and all progress made weekly so I didn't need to worry about the process or what stage we were at. We arranged a meeting face to face towards the end of the service so that we could go over anything I still had queries on which was very helpful not to mention how nice it was just to put a face to the name after all her help over the weeks.

I found working with the firm quite difficult. Initially I was working with another team member who went off sick - nobody informed me of that, and I had to pressure the team to find another lawyer to take on the case. It was only after I called a few times that I found out that the initial solicitor had actually left the company and I would be continuing with Gayna - I believe that this should have been communicated to me without me having to chase it. I often had to chase questions multiple times, when I got the responses they were not fully what I had asked for and when I asked for clarification it was not easily forthcoming. When I asked for an important document to be resent as it was illegible, I never received it; Communications with other professionals on my behalf were sometimes problematic. Overall it was a complex experience and I think the firm has some work to do with its communication with clients. I have to say that in the end the matter the sale was completed, to my knowledge, appropriately.
