Don't believe the hype!
I thought long and hard about leaving a review, but seeing so many 5* reviews (and poorer reviews disappear) I had to leave a response.
I was a first time buyer on a property through BLJ, and I wouldn't recommend to any first time buyer, nor experienced buyer for future purchases.
An extreme lack of communication, not one telephone call was responded to by Joe (Connor), and unless Laura (Cartwright) was cc'd into the email (which I began doing due to how furious the experience was making me), responses to emails took weeks and weeks and weeks.
Even 3 months after completing, there were uncompleted tasks from BLJ which meant the company looking after the servicing of the flats hadn't had any correspondence that I'd bought the flat.
Whilst I appreciate these are peoples livelihoods, at no point did Joe, or the team at BLJ apologise for the inconvenience caused. I spent hours and hours of my own time trying to sort out things that they were paid to do.

Excellent service and happy first time buyers
John Connor provided an excellent service making the process of purchasing our first home easy and stress free! Communication was always very efficient and Joe went the extra mile to answer any questions or worries we had. Extremely helpful and professional through the full process, I would highly recommend!

Smooth process, easy to talk to
We just bought our first home using Bell Lamb and Joynson as our conveyancer; we had Joe Connor who was so easy to talk to and made the process seem so simple and stress free (which is great for me as I’m usually very stressed!) everything was well explained and well executed and I was able to contact them with any minor questions or queries. I felt very welcome and valued.

My Experience with the Bell Lamb & Joynson Conveyancing Department
Being a first-time buyer is an overwhelming experience. Joe Connor took all the stress away and provided a very personal and informative service. Joe went the extra mile to make sure that me and my other half were comfortable throughout the process. Joe was always reachable over the phone if Joe wasn't able to take your call, you would have a call back inside of a half an hour (max), most times it was 5-10 mins.
The processes in place at the firm like Lawconnect and Perfect Portal made the whole process seamless and made me feel very informed.
Overall a fantastic experience.

Fast turnaround
I completed in less than 8 weeks of putting an offer in on my (now) house. Excellent service, especially Lily Dehnad & Joe Connor.

Excellent service
Having had missed 4 proposed completion dates due to another solicitor in the chain. Jo Conner and Lily Dehnad worked their hardest and finally completed less than a week before Christmas. Keeping in contact with us, making sure we were ready when every party was. Most important being understanding of us calling every hour towards then end and always friendly, polite and caring.

Finally... Solicitors we can recommend!
We've just used BL&J for the sale of our house and we're really glad we did. The process went smoothly and communication was excellent.
