Michael is a specialist corporate and commercial solicitor, with over 20 years experience at major regional law firms, acting as lead advisor to SME businesses across all industries and with a particular niche in pharmacy sale transactions. Michael is regarded as a highly effective operator, who brings commercial focus and common sense to the sale process and whose priority is supporting clients in achieving their business goals. Michael is likely one of few solicitors who have trained as an accountant, which brings exceptional understanding of the accounting and financial elements of a sale transactions. Michael has also owned and managed his own legal practice, and has a family interest in an online retail business, giving him an invaluable insight and understanding of the demands and pressures of owning and managing a business. Michael deals with all types of company and commercial law work, including business sales (including management buy-outs (MBOs), management buy-ins (MBIs) private equity sales, employee ownership trust (EOT) disposals) corporate re-structuring, shareholder agreements, share option schemes, partnership agreements, supply terms and conditions and other general commercial contracts. Away from work, Michael is married with two hockey playing teenage daughters.
