Professional Service

I instructed Reilly & Co Solicitors after searching for solicitors in my local area. I received a few quotes - however I went with Reilly & Co as there was a quick turnaround on receiving the written quote. As time went on, I was glad on my choice (not having known or used them before). I was unclear on the change in stamp duty and how it would affect me and Kevin was quick to clarify my queries.
Everything was done online via e-mail - again not having the 1 to 1 contact was surprisingly effective and having regular phone contact to advise me throughout showed professionalism. I know there was a lot of work behind the scenes done to keep the pushy agents and vendors solicitor happy so instructing an experienced and confident person is important.
I would recommend the firm and would definitely use them again in the future.

Dealt with flat sale despite difficulties...

Kevin processed the conveyancing on our late father's flat. Although it was a frustrating and time consuming experience, Kevin kept us informed and was able to influence the conclusion very positively. Kevin was tenacious and gave sound advice when required.

Awful

As an immigrant in UK I'm very much used to the rudeness of some people, but have never yet so far experienced anything like as this from Kevin Reilly. He didn't answer my emails, denied to see me in his office and when I've tried to call as a last resource he had no patience what so ever to clear my doubt's and was rude to a point where I count no longer continue having him as my solicitor, compromising the purchase of a property. It's really sad to see people so invested into make others life more difficult instead of helping.

He saved me a lot of money, with sound advice

We hired Kevin Reilly to provide the conveyancing when we sold one home and bought another. He provided an excellent service. The best part of his service was his sound advice. At one point, we came close to breaking the chain (moving into rented), but he advised against this and promised that he would ensure that the long chain would complete. He kept his word and most importantly, saved me about 10 thousand pounds. I have read some negative reviews and may be this is because he can be direct and abrupt, especially with Estate Agents. However, he returned our calls and emails and gave great advice – and this is what you are paying for. I would recommend others hire him.

Thoroughly stressful experience

I engaged Kevin Reilly of Reilly and Co to help me with the purchase of my first home. The whole experience was extremely frustrating and stressful. Mr Reilly is rude, arrogant and intimidating. My emails went unanswered, no one seemed to be bothered to help me when I telephoned, in fact no one actually seemed to know anything about my circumstances at all. I seemed to spend hours just chasing and going round in circles and was made to feel as though I was a nuisance. Eventually the purchase fell through due to lack of timely intervention and communication.
do not deal with this firm, totally unprofessional, unhelpful and aggressive.

Awful company

I used Reilly and Co to purchase a property.
Their service levels were consistently terrible.

I was given categorically false information on a few occasions. Islam and then Karen dealt with me. Both were rude, failed to keep me up to date and blocked my calls. Emails took days to be responded to.

On one occasion they shut the phone lines for a day and didn't let any customers know. Totally unacceptable with a property completion in progress.

Worst of all, nobody at the firm really seems to care. When a solicitor goes on annual leave, there is no hand over so nobody is really responsible for the account.

The company is also really old fashioned. There's no scanning of anything - it all has to posted. I had to request that correspondence be done over the phone or email. They would've otherwise wrote to me. Ridiculous!

Do not go anywhere near this company. It's just not worth it.

9 months after the purchase of my property I have outstanding paperwork due back from them which I'm still chasing. Needless to say, emails continue with no response from anyone at the firm.
