House sale

Melissa James is absolutely the best. She made the whole process of selling my house so easy. Even though we experienced some bumps in the road she was so reassuring and communicated really well.

A HUGE THANK YOU!

A big thank you to Karen Moses and her team at Spicketts Battrick Law Practice in Clifton St, especially Antonia and Uti, they have always been there for me from start to finished, encouraging me and feeling my pain when my buyers pulled out at the last minute of exchanging contact, they were there all through my stressful journey from Bristol to Oldbury West Midlands, as our estate agent Haart in White Ladies Road Clifton Bristol couldn’t be bothered, from start to finish they wasn’t interested they were no where to be found, all they were interested in was their £4300 for doing absolutely nothing, without the team helping me from start to finish I would’ve have being lost, but now I’ve moved in my new home and is settling down, again a big thank you, to Karen Moses and her team, you lot were phenomenal.

My estate agent kept me informed , Spickets didn't

I purchased my house through them - cash ,this went quickly (house was empty) so I thought I'd sell and purchase another with them ,this was a disaster ,why did it take so long ? ( four and half months) I was never informed .Settled my account ,then they ask for more, £100 plus thought it was fixed fee? and they had sent final statement so I thought . I was told I would be informed when house was registered to me on land registry ? of course they did not inform ,I had to "chase" this.
I was referred by agent I purchased first house through.
I must admit when I emailed I got a quick reply (still waiting to hear about extra payment though - no reply - months ,I don't want the trouble of it all) Just think I should have be kept informed not having to "chase " after information etc .

Awful Person

I very rarely complain, however this person was truly awful to deal with and tactless when dealing with somebody grieving. The solicitors were holding my late mother's will. This solicitor refused for over a month to look for it, telling me several times that they didn't have it. Subsequently delaying the probate process for me. They did eventually find it but not before Ms Jones said to me "maybe your mother tore up the original will and left all her money to a cats home". Shocking. Avoid.

Absolutely awful service

Really awful service, calls always go to voicemail, e-mails never responded to and a manger that has the attitude "tough luck" when you call and say you aren't having any response from the solicitor handling your case.
I would never, ever recommend these solicitors to anyone, ever!

Very poor attitude toward clients and are not very understanding

This Law firm is not very professional and have a distressful attitude who think they are above the clients. Phone manner training is desperately needed. Quick to take your money then delay everything else. Do Not use this company

Poor Service

Our solicitor was poor at communicating. Difficult to get hold of and at the end mispaid the estate agent who recommended them and then blamed us. Would not recommend at all.

WORST SERVICE EVER- INCOMPETENT

Referred by Bidmead Cook Real Estate in Merthyr, both myself as the buyer used them for a straight forward house purchase (first time buyer, pretty standard property) and am appalled by the level of service or lack there of we both received. For a cash sale, no chain.... it couldn't get any simpler.... but NO- They were are so poor at making any communication, unresponsive and full of excuses when they do respond- I mean the seller is also using them.... could it be any simpler?? We are now 6 months down the track - still not tracking- they are still not responding. This is costing myself and the buyer additional money, time and causing us so much stress. PLEASE stay clear of them. Shout out to Sarah and Rachel who are the two handling the sale and buy.

I would give them 0 stars if this was possible.

We are very grateful...

I imagine that we were a pretty high-maintenance client for Spicketts Battrick mainly due to our life changes and urgent need to move house/childcare etc. We were the type of client who many firms would fine really irritating because we wanted to know every single thing happening. We were lucky enough to deal with Natalie Raker who genuinely cares about her clients. She not only was efficient but we really felt that she came through this journey with us and kept us in the loop daily. We've used Natalie twice now because we trust her and if you are lucky enough to use these guys, they will work hard for you.

We are very grateful to all of the Spicketts team - especially to Natalie for helping us through a stressful time. I can only imagine conveyancing can be a thankless job sometimes - but we will always feel grateful for the service and help.
