Forever Legal were acting for me to arrange an Equity Release. What should have been a quick process took four months but this was down to the system rather than failings on the part of Forever Legal and the failings of the other side to raise issues in a timely manner. Having been dealing with solicitors for over fifty years in over 60 property transactions it is notable and regrettable that what has changed is solicitors rarely pick up the phone and talk to each other to find a solution and then confirm in writing. Now it is a question sent by email then three days later a rely then another question and so on. It is a slow motion conversation and highly inefficient. Having said that, Forever Legal were as efficient and prompt as the other side allowed them to be.
