Currently trying to organise a remortgage of a property, so far this has taken over four months. Inaccurate information given leading to multiple delays and could have caused additional costs but luckily I kept questioning these and was eventually advised it wasn’t necessary. If you are looking for a prompt efficient company do not look here, I certainly won’t be using them again.

Exchanged contracts with the help of Ronald Fletcher Baker January 2020. No problems during the preparation of the deal. The problems started after the exchange. In February 2020. we received a council tax bill as high as £5,000 for the following three months. Unfortunately, the Ronald Fletcher Baker solicitor hadn't checked neither council tax band neither the status of our residential flat which happened to be registered by the developper as a business (business rates are applied). For months we were fighting with the seller and the local council trying to bring the council tax bill to residential rates. Only after the intervention of our MP Emily Thornberry the local council stopped chasing us fo money. The story hasn't ended. In January 2020 we were billed by the council for the arrears of the previous owner for the year 2019 (!) even though we bought the place in 2020. Total nightmare and frustration just because the Ronald Fletcher Baker solicitor hasn't done the due diligence properly.
