My deeds

After nearly three years I have still not received my deeds and I paid cash..no mortgage!
Despite phone calls and messages there have been no responses .
Very very poor service…not even a letter explaining why my deeds have not been sent! Am very frustrated and annoyed as this so,icitir was recommended by the builders as the best and the conveyancing would be quicker if used them….. terrible terrible service !

very poor service on conveyancing

Hired for the sale of my parent house and purchase of a new property. Very poor communication, needed constant chasing, inaccurate documentation, lack of attention to detail, unresponsive and defensive when feedback was shared.
I have bought and sold property many times in different countries including the UK and without doubt the conveyancing from DG in Chandlers Ford was the absolute worst service I have ever experienced.
I provided some feedback to their Managing Partner which he did not respond to until after I chased him up and then he delgated that to another Partner who was completely dismissive. The worst firm!

Worst solicitors in Hampshire

We used Nicky for our conveyancing and I might as well have just burned a pile of money. She's rude and impossible to get hold of and unbelievably slow. We've actually ended up losing our buyer because she thought it was acceptable to just put our sale to the bottom of the list. After months of chasing we ended up making a formal complaints just for her to dismiss our concerns and act like.she.was doing the best she could.

Avoid these charlatans at all costs!?!

Terrible experience just trying to get a quote

Rude receptionist. They wanted my address before they would give me any quote and then they said the only person available to quote me will call me back at 'some point' The receptionist laughed at me too as I didnt know the address of the property I am buying as it is a new build. Avoid.

Avoid at all costs

We had a terrible experience with Dutton Gregory In chandlers ford, if I could leave 0stars I would!!! Very poor communication, constant chasing to get responses. Our adviser didn’t speak to us over the phone for 4months. Always behind with communication with other agency’s. Avoid, Avoid, Avoid. We didn’t even complete in the end due to so many errors and I hold them responsible.

The worse Conveyancy firm we could have chosen !

It’s a very long story, but please stay away from this Conveyancy firm. We used them for the sale of our property and the purchase of a new build. They handle client’s files with neglect and lack of competence. They made so many errors on our file and made the whole process of moving so much more stressful! We complained several times by offering constructive feedback but no improvements were made. They couldn’t even accept, with humbleness, the constructive feedback we offered and simply went on to make more mistakes on our file and statements. Moving home is a stressful process, moving home with incompetent solicitors is a nightmare! Happy to share more details if anyone is interested. Please just go elsewhere. Good luck!!

Hugh Bernard

We've purchased a few properties in the past, and was recommended Dutton Gregory on this occasion, after some below average experiences with previous solicitors. I was assigned with Hugh as my conveyancer. If service levels continue to the level I received from Hugh first time, we will never use another solicitor again. It's taken us 5 years to find such a great solicitor!
