Avoid This Firm. Don't underestimate the damage of poor legal service.
As clients of Wallace and Quinn we found their legal and conveyancing services inadequate and lacking in due care and attention. The firm sent key information and documents late, and to the wrong address. The documents which included personal information and other important details were not recovered. We were purchasing a detached 5 bedroom property and you simply don't want or expect your personal details and financial transactions details to be sent to the wrong address. Wallace and Quinn's lawyer and supervisor poorly handled our property purchase, our instructions and our complaint, in our opinion, with ongoing damaging consequences for us. 12 months on the damages have not been resolved.
Wallace and Quinn eventually offered to refund 50% of their fee but this does not begin to cover the damages of poor work; so we have referred our case to the Scottish Legal Complaints Commission. The firm's poor attention to detail has been intrusive in our lives, our work and we have had to put our retirement on hold. In our experience, Wallace and Quinn's marketing pledge to "provide a stress free house purchase journey" could not be further from reality.
