I was falsely accused and wrongly arrested for a very serious assault. I work in insurance and was at risk of loosing my job.
I met with Michael Carroll & Co solicitor before going to the police station. My solicitor then came with me to the police station supporting me fully throughout the interview. It was terrible listening to the questions being asked, but my solicitor was brilliant throughout.
We thought the police were failing to properly investigate and failed to get statements from witnesses that helped my case, and we were concerned that if I was charged these witnesses may have left the UK. This was a very stressful time for me. My solicitor instructed a specialist private investigator to visit the site and take photos, obtain our own witness statements. The statements and photos showed that this was a false allegation and the police stopped investigation.
