My divorce took over 5 years. It was a very sensitive case, but was handled aggressively towards the end. This I feel added to the difficulties and extended the divorce proceedings. Complaints made to the practice manager were not handled correctly. Billing was also vague.
There were many handwritten notes, it was a long case, and often during meetings much time was spent searching back and forth for information. Document management was not a strength, why would it be when all time is charged to the client.
Advice given, I discovered during the final hearing, was poor and the final outcome was a complete surprise to me. I had been given no indication of the possibility of the final outcome.
I do not feel that my case was represented well nor fully.
