Tom from MAJ gave me some excellent advice this morning regarding a speeding offence. I felt a bit silly ringing up as it probably seems very minor compared to what they usually deal with, but I was panicking and my mind was going into overdrive as I am a newly qualified HGV driver so it always looks worse. Well well well.....if only I could name the previous firm who told me there was no hope for a defence for my drug driving charge. I swear some companies just do not want to take on complex cases. What a difference as soon as I spoke to Tom at MAJ. The whole conversation was a breeze and he couldn't understand why I'd been told I wouldn't have a defence when needle phobia is apparently so blatantly obvious (I didn't know this, those were Toms words). I was quite shocked to hear that I actually had a full defence to the charge! In the end, my case was dropped before it even went to trial due to the police not acknowledging my medical condition. I received a fine in the post which I was completely unaware of so decided to seek legal advice to find out where I stood. I rang and initially spoke to Neil who then put me through to Tom. He was so helpful over the phone and told me exactly what to do to try and appeal it. All their advice is completely free of charge and it's nice that they are happy to help and speak to you without you paying per minute! I highly recommend them for legal advice.
