Professional and clear advice

I felt like my hand was held throughout the process and although we were only at the preliminary stages before my circumstances changed, I wouldn't hesitate to return to Kirstie should I require her services in the future.

Kirstie helped and guided me through my stressful divorce. She was extremely kind and thoughtful when speaking to me. She kept me well informed of the process and was generous with all her advice. She made the whole process as painless as she could for me. For which I am extremely grateful.

A truly exceptional experience working with Kim Connolly

Kim has truly been exceptional in helping us with our house move. Her diligence and attention to detail made sure that no stone was unturned. It was a complicated house purchase and her knowledge and also her recommendations on who to work with and what to do at every turn were invaluable.

Unacceptable contract

I was advised the sale contract was sufficient to purchase the property. It was not. I incurred legal costs unnecessarily thinking the contract was sound. It was not. I complained to a senior partner. It took over 3 months to respond and no apology only reams of paper saying why they were right and I was not. Not even the courtesy to thank me as a client of over 25 years with many a transaction with this firm. The attitude is and was arrogant and uncompromising. No I will not recommend them again.

This is our second house purchase where we have used Alastair Harvey of Thomson Snell & Passmore. Once for a private house purchase and then for a purchase of a property through a company. At all times we feel that Alastair is working hard to get the purchase done, and we feel informed and safe in the knowledge that nothing will be missed. Absolutely would recommend.

About this branch

Description

Thomson Snell & Passmore is a highly respected legal practice and one of the largest law firms in the South East outside London, employing over 260 staff. The firm is highly rated in all practice areas in The Legal 500 directory and 25 lawyers are quoted as leaders in their field in Chambers UK. We have achieved this by continuously aligning ourselves with our clients’ ever changing needs as well as ensuring that we provide intelligent and practical legal advice to both businesses and individual clients. Our clients range from high net worth private individuals, family trusts and owner managed businesses to AIM listed companies, U.K. subsidiaries of multi-nationals, major U.K. Plcs, local authorities, charities and public/private sector partnerships. Our Commercial Group consists of approximately 70 lawyers some of whom have qualified, trained and worked in magic circle and other large City practices before moving out to Kent. They are experienced in providing a degree of expertise and practical commercial advice at service levels and fees that our more astute commercial clients expect. We are constantly striving to improve and differentiate ourselves from other firms in the region. We recognise the key factors for clients when choosing which law firm to use: the client experience and the level of service provided; the technical competencies of the team dealing with the instruction and value for money. With offices in Tunbridge Wells and the Thames Gateway, the firm has earned a reputation over generations for providing pragmatic legal advice and delivering exceptional client service. Established in 1570, the firm’s unique heritage underpins its quality, service and commitment to providing peace of mind to generations of families and businesses.
