Completely let down.

Last wishes of my late grandmother never carried out and now never will be due incompetence of this company.
And then up against sly tactics from them when tried to resolve the situation absolutely disgusting

Appalling

Unprofessional, slow, ineffective. Zero customer service skills and all correspondence ignored. Made no progress whatsoever and had to change solicitors in the end having made no progress. Absolutely don't touch this firm if you have a choice. I am still awaiting my Mother's will to be sent and they are ignoring all correspondence from my solicitor. A disgrace a company who are making an upsetting period even worse. Look at other people's reviews of this firm on various sites- don't just take my word for it. Avoid like the plague.

AVOID!

When buying a house your solicitor should be there to make things easier, however not Thurnhills!
Throughout the whole experience there was no support, a huge lack of contact and zero attention to detail in any of the letters that were sent out (so many mistakes including incorrect titles and dates in the future).
We got sent incorrect paperwork via the post on a Saturday when we were suppose to have been exchanging the Monday, included in this paperwork was other peoples personal details which is a huge breach of data protection! When I asked the solicitor about this, his response was "would you rather not have had the paperwork" within this phone call I also got told I was being "petty"!
The day of exchange, the solicitor then decided he wanted more paperwork signed which he did not ask prior to that day, this then delayed us exchanging and the seller stated she was pulling out.

This is a very shortened version of the last few horrendous month we experienced with Thurnhills!

Glacially slow - Avoid

I'm 6 weeks into selling a vacant house, (no chain) the buyer is a cash buyer.
Thurnhills are acting for the buyer (I am the seller).
Thurnills only sent paperwork to the buyer after 4 weeks. For the fifth week the solicitor went on holiday indicating no work would be done until their return (no cover for absent staff I guess).
Searches still not complete after 5 weeks. Possibly still not complete now at 6 weeks, I wouldn't know as they haven't updated my solicitor when I asked for an update today.
Terrible experience. This is the simplest sale you can get, a cash buyer and a vacant, no chain house with no mortgages or surveyors involved.
Most frustrating thing is the lack of updates or progress. Everything is hanging on Thurnhills and they are silent.
I suspect Thurnhills sat on this for 4 weeks before finally acting (sending out paperwork and starting the Searches), before heading off on holiday for a week.
Avoid Thurnhills at all costs.
