First time buyer, I had both Vanessa & Daniel working on the sale - both were great, super helpful. As a first time buyer I had lots of questions & things I didn't understand but Daniel & Vanessa had been great and answered anything thing I had the same day. Updates given quickly too - smooth process from start to finish, I would definitely recommend :)

They were very slow and communication was poor. Requested callbacks many times constantly chasing for updates and never returned calls. Worst thing I am now trying to sell the property again and it has been highlighted planning permission for extension was not to as described with council and I was not alerted to this. This was highlighted via insurance policies which the solicitors accepted but is not guaranteed all solicitors would and therefore I may be unable to sell. Solicitor from Ison Harrison should have pointed this out. If they had done this I would have walked away from the purchase as I do not take any risks whatsoever.

Poor communication from Ison Harrison Leeds with no urgency to progress sale. I had to constantly chase them for any updates, and my solicitor never picked up the phone. On completion day, I wasn’t even sent a completion statement (just the money with no breakdown of costs and fees) and didn’t end up receiving this until the week after. I was shocked a solicitors could get away with not sending a statement on the completion day!
Then after checking this, it wasn’t correct and a commitment fee £300 deposit I had paid earlier in the year wasn’t taken of their total fee.
Disappointed with the overall experience and they made the process much harder to go through

Ison Harrison Solicitors in Harrogate have provided me in my case with nothing but poor unhelpful advice, Hzam Patel was prejudice towards me as soon as he discovered my financial position... But the firm then represented my ex partner; Denying any conflict of interest? When I raised this as an issue they then threatened me with anything they could. Including aiming the abuse of process towards me.
Shaun Hulme, the partner is the perpertrator; he can be rude, inpatient, unavailable, condescending and classist, in my opinion he maybe partner of the practice, but isnt best placed for family law dispute resolutions.
I would advise anyone going through family court to self represent!
Find a decent mckenzie friend, And do not waste thousands of pounds on greedy Solicitors like Ison Harrison.
They do not have any Interest in the final outcome of your case and will purposely encourage you to drag on proceedings by way of fabricated, petty hearsay for nothing but their own financial gain. Losing sight of the what really matters. The children.

As you can see the firm has enjoyed substantial growth over the past decade. We have always taken the view that standing still as a business is not an option for us. We have seen many law firms either go out of business or reduce in size over the years and we were determined not to struggle in the same way. We have therefore constantly looked to improve. We have looked for opportunities to grow our profile, the number of our offices, and the breadth of services that we offer. We have looked for ways to improve our internal processes, employee engagement and how we deal and communicate with clients. All partners and managers recognise the importance of communication and set the tone within the firm employing honest, open and prompt communication with clients and colleagues alike.
