2.5 years wasted with this diabolical solicitors. They lost/closed my claim. The lack of updates & honesty throughout the claim was non existent. After I complained the senior partner, he seemed very rude and abrupt in letters and treating us like we didn't know anything at all about horses, considering we have had & been around horses our whole lives. The solicitors seemed to be more interested in believing the other parties lies & photos which didn't prove anything. So now left disfigured, scared and in chronic pain for the rest of my life, with absolutely nothing back not even a years wages I missed out on while recovering after infections, 2 emergency surgeries and wound healing. This solicitors told me, lorry drivers don't have to use their mirrors or stop when animals become agitated next to their cabs. Common sense really....

Both myself and my husband were initially investigated for conspiracy to defraud. We were lucky to then find Damian Sabino who travelled to represent us despite not being local and yet the fees were still no more than local firms. Bird & Co initially seemed like competent solicitors, more than capable of handling a simple purchase of a flat, unfortunately four years later it's become obvious that they rushed the process, skirted their basic checks and do not care about their clients. Having had a formal complaint with them for in excess of three months and still not received a response I think really speaks for itself as to their level of commitment and care towards clients. Avoid at all costs.

Paul Hardy dealt with a settlement for me, he was prompt and very professional, excellent service.

No personal contact whatsoever. All done online and the system is very unreliable. They couldn't make their mind up if I'd completed their forms or not. Had to do it several times.
No updates unless you chase them yourself repeatedly. I had to push them along every step of the way. Even the estate agents were chasing them to make progress. I had no idea what was happening most of the time. They refused to review the file as they went along, and wouldn't answer my questions or consider my comments until the end when everything was complete, and that added to delays.
Took them 4 months to do a simple cash purchase with no chain, no mortgage, no complications. That was with all the coaxing and pushing. This was before lockdown.
The only thing they did thoroughly and efficiently was vetting me, their client, under the Money Laundering Regs. They did that really well, and made it clear that are certainly not on my side.
They made errors that I had to pick up and didn't even spell my name right.
They blamed the other side for delays and yet the vendor told me he'd sent it all in months earlier.
After completion they returned important documents and all my personal ID docs to me in the post in inadequate packing and lost some and the rest were returned in open bags so anybody could read them. I was horrified, but the boss, Daniel Chard blamed it on Royal Mail and refused to accept any responsibility at all. He was perfectly happy with that practice.
I chose them and asked for Victoria Wakley because they had the best reviews in Grantham, but, if this is the best that Grantham has to offer, go to Notts.

Overall I was very happy with the service provided. The results were very good and much better than what I was expecting. The team was friendly and professional.
