Excellent service

I cannot recommend Emin Read enough.
Their conveyance services both in the sale of my late mother's house as well as the purchase of our flat in London were nothing short of excellent. Always quick to reply to our calls and our emails.
We always felt that Emin Read were taking care of our best interests.
Many thanks to Laura Swindles and the rest of the team for their very thorough and friendly service.

was very disappointed in the level of services offered by this solicitors.
i was not informed to the maximum ability of my purchase.
would not use them again and would not recommend them to my family and friends.
solicitor was ignoring my emails and calls in the beginning and was not being updated with important information that was needed. very poor.

Not user friendly

They acted for my daughter on what should have been a simple flat purchase but thanks to their small minded mentality of protecting their backsides it was anything but. No mortgage was involved, it was a cash purchase. I paid the money into their client account but they refused to accept it as they deemed it a requirement that the money had to come from an account in my daughters name despite me giving details of the source of funds and signing a disclaimer confirming that I had no legal interest in the property.
I had to transfer money to my daughter who then had to take time off work to transfer that money to Emin Read. An absolute nonsense.
Use a client friendly solicitor, not this crowd

My experience with Emin Read Solicitors during the sale of my family home due to a divorce was disappointing. Throughout the process, I felt consistently excluded from vital communications. Despite reaching out to David Read to request inclusion in these communications, my efforts were unfortunately ignored. The notification about the exchange and completion dates came abruptly, merely a day prior to each event, leaving me feeling uninformed and disconnected.

I had a tenant who, over lockdown refused to pay her rent (eventually owing approx £18k) and was avoiding all contact. RUSSELL DEAN was recommended by an Estate Agent. He was efficient, dependable, accessible and confident in what needed to be done.

Just completed a sale in Clapham with Emin Read, in under 8 weeks from offer accepted. Emin was organised, proactive, timely on email responses, always seemed in control and had done his side of the work very quickly. Couldn’t fault his service. Highly recommend.

Unfortunately got to experience other solicitors with disappointment when Emin Read was acting for the other party so I could not use them. We live in Clapham and a lot of people here use them.
