Avoid at all costs!!!!!!

Appalling law firm. I used them for a property matter, which yielded a successful initial ruling by the judge, which Anthony Gold placed into jeopardy, due to an 18 month delay in actioning the ruling. The case is now in jeopardy and the ruling at risk of being vacated after spending thousands of pounds with this firm for a successful, watertight outcome. Will be reporting this firm to the regulatory bodies and taking them to task.

Poor communication on the purchase of a freehold. Avoid this firm.

The solicitor appointed to handle the purchase our freehold for a block of flats failed to properely communicate or advise during the process. Some examples are:

* File notes confirming agreed actions were not provided.
* The completion was brought forward by the solicitor by 3 weeks without agreement by the residents to the revised date.
* The solicitor failed to convey there was an impending cut-off date to complete beyond which additional charges would accrue, and this had influenced his decision to bring the date forward.
* The adjusted date meant that some residents did not have an additional monthly pay check and it looked for a while as though the purchase was in jeopardy.
* Residents were given just 2 weeks to ensure they had all the funds available rather than 5 as had been discussed and agreed.
* Eventually a compromise of bringing completion forward by a week rather than 3 weeks was agreed via a telephone call, however this was not confirmed in writing so residents were frantic due to the lack of comms.
* A telephone complaint was made in line with Anthony Gold's complaints procedure, and a call-back was requested. The complaint was redirected to the solicitor against whom the complaint was made rather than being dealt with properly.
* Residents were made directors of the freehold company without their agreement.

Totally untrustworthy solicitors , use them at your peril

I used these solicitors and it was the worst mistake I could I had ever made . They entered into a fraudulent agreement with lambeth council and left me in a worst position then when I was before I contacted them . They lied on legal documents and in court basically . A basic breach of a property lease and they where unable to enforce . I am now writing to the press and intend to expose them for the incapable and untrusted worthy solicitors they truly are , don't use them

Excellent professional and efficient service!

I contacted Aneil at Anthony Gold with regards to an employment matter. I am very pleased with the legal advice I received, and my case was settled very quickly. I had regular contact with Aneil at every stage of the process, and everything was explained in a clear and comprehensive manner. In my experience Anthony Gold were very approachable, friendly and always had my best interests at the forefront. I would highly recommend their services to anyone.

Only for the wealthy.

I asked for legal assistance on behalf of a mentally ill friend, who is being harassed by a former partner and who has not sought or pursued the appropriate defence in the latest iteration of this harassment: a civil claim for tens of thousands of pounds.

His parents have enacted a lasting power of attorney and his case against his ex is strong. As soon as AG found out he was on benefits and had no money they weren't interested and declined to act. Didnt even check whether he should qualify for legal aid and were very very unhelpful to me. Shocking. Will be feeding that back to the people who recommended them in no uncertain terms.

Used them twice, Wallace White is outstanding!

Not understanding the negative reviews as I’ve worked closely with Wallace as a client of her in 2 disrepair matters. From my experience legal cases can be slow moving and their is only so much that can be done on your behalf if the other party doesn’t co-operate.

Wallace has been amazing. She is professional, efficient and genuinely cares about helping. She managed my first case which she won and also currently on my second case after being treated really badly by landlords. I cannot fault her and her representation of Anthony Gold Solicitors.

Absolutely recommend them especially Wallace for housing and disrepair matters, I have recommended her to family and friends and I’m confident that she works at this standard on a consistent basis.

Employment Law - avoid at all costs

Reporting Anthony Gold to the SRA. Totally useless company who promise the world and don't deliver. Attempted numerous times to get vital paperwork from Anthony Gold, I had to ask the court for the paperwork myself, this put me at a detriment. Anthony Gold then state I'm the liar and have made no contact to them.

1)You advised me the first respondants solictors was a 'magic circle lawyer' they are not. I allege this was an attempt to scare me into settling early.
2) You advised and agreed with the first respondant without consulting me to delay Disclsoure which made absolutely no sense when I was the claimant, the majority of documents was in the first respondants procession and it gave them an advantage. They are now playing on this fact and have dealyed until the pre hearing.
3) When reviewing my claim, you didn't help to build a case or carve the case for its merits.
4) you failed to mention in order to claim for equal pay, I would need to name a comparator(s). using the broad brush approach of any member of staff is not eligible although within my appeal document it already contained a list of comparitirs
5) we never completed the remedy which was the schedule of loss and as such had no bargaining power when it came to the without prejudice discussions so how was the without prejudice to be taken seriously or in full
6) we agreed a price for the 'without prejudice negotiations' you did not complete this, in my opinion you basically said take this offer from my employer. and if you don't my fees are this, nor did you aim for a higher settlement. This would have again left me at a financial detriment and severely undervalued the claim.
7) on the date you basically called me a liar and said that I officially lied to the court and hence you could no longer represent me. I attach screen shots of emails and I called the office on this date to chase up the ET1 form. You did not provide this, apparently this should have been provided to me the moment you received it. I did not lie, you did not provide it and after I attempted to get the ET1 form a week later I contacted the tribunal. This actually made me miss a date with the tribunal. Again, by not representing me you have again put me at a financial detriment both at the tribunal and costs for another solictor to read the case.
8) Me having to point out details of the case which I allege shows you didn't truly read through the merits or value the case at all.
9) Financially Undervaluing the case according to 5 other employment solictors - I have not mentioned your name and the rights of women charity have all valued the case higher
10) no handover to another member of your legal team when you had an operation like you promised in email.

I don't honestly feel as though the case was taken seriously, maybe this is not your normal standard of practice due to the solictors illness but in my opinion it's far off the mark of a good service and advice I would have expected from a legal professional. Nor do I feel two letters and one phonecall to myself is worth anywhere close to £3000!!

Communication is OK but so slow

After everything was booked, I had a lady called Sarah Clarke. She is just so slow in getting things done. Every piece of communication and signed form took at least 2 weeks to do. I think my property value must have increased by a couple of grand by the time she was finished reviewing the draft documents and getting them sent.

I wouldn't recommend them. Although communication was fine, just the quality and urgency of it is severely lacking.
