only 1 star as i could not leave anything less

if you honestly want to be messed around from dawn to dusk then look no further than minster law ambulance chasers, every aspect of your claim is long and drawn out, you will be promised return calls and never receive them, it will be rare to speak to the same person twice when you call them, if you have the patience to wait that long on the phone that is, my own claim was badly mishandled by this lot and i was awarded a niggardly payment, my wife and sons claims are heading in the same direction too sadly, please please ! do not use this mickey mouse outfit for any accident claims, you will regret the day you did.

Entirely inadequate

Competence if non existent! Near 2 years of chasing for them to either respond or actually do what they said they will do. They are only interested in getting paid themselves and will not act for you as they don't want any outlay. Avoid this firm at all costs!

Review for Ella Hartley

Following an accident Minster Law were attached to the insurance company to assist with my claim.
Initially the company were efficient and appeared to be getting everything sorted. However things seemed to go array and came to a complete halt. It appears that things had been forgotten and not completed as it should. Following a number of emails and phone calls my case was allocated to Ella.
I have to say, she has worked so hard, been really efficient and got things sorted really quickly.
Ella you are an asset to your team.
Thank you

Do not use Minster Law

Do not allow Minster law to represent you under any circumstance.

After car accident in July 2022, in which the other party admitted 100% liability I was put on to Minster Law by my insurance company.

It is now February 2024 and I have still not received any compensation for my injuries. In fact, they don’t even communicate or respond to emails, so I have no idea where we even are with my case!

I received a phone call from them back in November last year, in which the person I spoke to admitted that there were serious problems within the company, but couldn’t go in to details over the phone. They agreed with my complaints and apologised and also admitted that my file has just been sat in a tray for the last year and nobody has even picked it up to look at it.

He said they would now be working on it and will contact the other drivers insurance company and they have five days to respond, so he promised I would be contacted again in a few days with an update. That was three months ago now and I’ve not heard a word from them!
Also, that was the only contact I’d received from them since December 2022!

I have had to now involve the Legal Ombudsman to try and resolve this matter.

I repeat, avoid Minster Law at all costs!
Read the other reviews yourselves, I only wish I had before allowing them to represent me.

you have the ability to change solicitors and you should.

avoid this company, their communication is absolutely abysmal. their customer support line just straight up does not work. they don't update you on your case for months and expect you to know everything that's going on.

they also take 35% really wish I would have taken the time to read up and change who was working my case.

Lack of interest. Poor communication

I put in a claim nearly 12 months ago via my insurance company for a car accident. The medical was just a paperwork exercise with no actual examination. The form sent back to me was incorrect. I submitted my comments which were acknowledged then denied. Then admitted my form hadn't been attached electronically to my account. I hadcemail saying if I didn't respond I may be liable for all their costs - I had replied a week earlier. I've asked for new log in details for INK. Nothing has come. Update emails are ignored. Takes ages for phone to be answered to be told I've come through to wrong department. I've still no update. I am not happy.

Inept, unprofessional, and on occasion downright rude.

Case Ref: 62024A
I was involved in a RTA in September 2022, my claim was passed to Minster Law as part of my RAC insurance legal cover. The third party was found 100% at fault. They’d driven into the back of my car while I was stationary. The ambulance chasing, conveyor belt legal system began its process, I was approved for physiotherapy had a medical etc. I submitted my losses through Minster Law’s ‘INK’ Web Portal. Heard very little for months, as was expected.
I took some time off work between October and December 2022 due to being in pain and not being able to work a full day every day, but as I couldn’t afford to not be paid, and as I own my own micro company, I took this time as paid holiday that I was owed instead. Submitting a loss sheet at the end of each month to Minster Law, these obviously weren’t being reviewed as in February 2023 three-five months later I was told that because I’d taken the time as holiday (that I would not be getting back) I couldn’t be reimbursed.
In July 2023, 10 months after the incident, Minster Law contacted me with a schedule of losses. It was entirely incorrect, and they’d missed out all the deductible expenses that they would recover for physio’ etc. They’d also missed out the veterinary fees I’d submitted for my dog, who subsequently died from injuries sustained in the accident, I was told that I could not claim these as they should be covered by my pet insurance, I pointed out that as I don’t have pet insurance this constitutes an uninsured loss, which is exactly what Minster Law are supposed to be recovering on my behalf. They submitted a revised schedule, which was again incorrect, claiming that I’d had £200 worth of physio – when I’d actually had £600 of treatment. By the third schedule they returned to me they were claiming £760 for physio and some made up travel costs. I was given an estimated min/max valuation on what I could expect to receive by way of settlement, that was frankly a joke, I’m £5k out of pocket, and Minster law expected to recover at most £1,923.
I signed a form that meant that Minster Law could not settle my claim without my consent, and saying that I would be kept informed at every step of negotiations.
On 06/11/2023 I received a text message from Minster Law confirming that they had settled my claim, WITHOUT MY CONSENT, at just over £1,400, despite the fact that I had rejected the third parties first two offers both of which were under £1,200, and made it clear to Minster Law that there was a minimum value that I would settle at, or I would like to proceed to court.
When I rang Minster Law’s customer service team, I was ‘sludged’ as usual being passed from rep to rep, left on hold etc. Eventually I spoke with a lady who kept telling me that I had agreed to the settlement, otherwise it couldn’t have been processed, she even suggested that if I was unhappy, I had a right to seek independent legal advice elsewhere. I asked to be put through to the complaints team, and was told this wasn’t possible, my complaint would be noted on file, and somebody would get back to me within 48hrs. I then received an email telling me that I had to submit my complaint in writing via email.
Shambolic representation and negotiation skills, appalling customer service.
Frankly, Minster Law would struggle to negotiate their way out of a well-lit cul-de-sac.

Appalling company please avoid!!

If I could give this company zero stars I would. Since the first contact from Minster Law (via my insurance company) to investigate my non fault accident/personal injury claim, their customer service was appalling until the final unsatisfactory resolution of my claim. If I had read the online reviews about them I would have known what to expect, but sadly I was too lost in the post-accident trauma bubble to research this company beforehand.
DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU! YOU DON'T HAVE TO GO THROUGH WHICHEVER SOLICITOR YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY HAS STRUCK A DEAL WITH, PLEASE CHOOSE FOR YOURSELF!
I may have spoken to a solicitor during the first conversation with Minster Law to me in and get me on board with them in early 2022, but I certainly never spoke to one again throughout my dealings with them. Throughout their "investigation" there was no real fight for my case by Minster Law and the contact from them was utterly useless. Months passed by without any update or contact from them. This was a faceless conveyer belt process and the process of investigation was extremely slow throughout, especially for a non-fault accident which was fully admitted by the offending driver. I was repeatedly asked for the same documents which I had already provided to them. No single person had oversight of my claim. I provided Minster Law with everything they needed to fight my case including independent witness details, recordings etc.
A year into my claim I made a complaint to Minster about their lack of contact and appalling customer service. At this point, some progress happened and we finally entered the negotiations stage. I was asked if I wanted let Minster do all the negotiations and I'm glad I said I wanted to be involved because the first offer made by the other party did not even fall within the value of my claim.
During the "negotiations", I received calls from different 'team members'- certainly not solicitors, and they had no real knowledge of my case at all. There was no single person/point of contact in charge of my case, just an uncaring team of indifferent call centre staff members just going through the motions in respect of customer engagement and care. The various team members who contacted me weren't even aware that the "counter offers" being made by the offending driver's insurance company were the same amount, until I pointed this out to them. The other party repeatedly offered just £100 more than the lowest valuation of my claim until the three offers Minster were willing to make on my behalf were apparently used up. At this point Minster Law stated they would not represent me any further nor take the matter to court, and I should just accept the lowest offer. I didn't receive a written record of any of the offers made until I specifically asked for it.
Know this, Minster Law simply want to get their money from your claim and then get you straight off their books so they can move onto the next customer and the next of money. They will not fight your case for you. They literally don't give a flying fig about you. It is far less work and effort to encourage clients to accept unreasonably low offers than to actually fight for them to receive a fair payout.
ML later accepted that they had ignored me, failed to return my contact and had been slow to investigate my case. I was offered £50 to compensate for their failings but no additional effort to fight my case. By this point I had lost the will and I accepted the low settlement figure as I had no choice but to accept it.
Please don't let this company represent you if you are going through a personal injury claim which is already stressful enough. You deserve good customer service and a fair and reasonable pay out. You deserve the support of a good solicitor who is willing to challenge an unreasonable or unfair offer and fight for your case. You don't deserve to be ignored, left in the dark, contacted by various team members who have no knowledge of your case, and pushed to accept unfair offers without any discussion with a solicitor.

RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!

RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!

Please read my previous review to get an understanding of how abysmal this company is. I’ve now had no choice to drop hands (forfeit) my claim. It’s felt like minster was on the third parties side all along. They must be high fiving now.

We were at negotiations, minster didn’t fight my corner. So laxy Dazy with every aspect of my claim. I must of had about 6/7 different handlers throughout, none of them competent at their job.

Believe every single bad review on here, I find it strange how a lot of the 5star reviews only have the 1 review, very suss don’t you think.

I had no choice to put a complaint in mid way through my claim. Don’t ever expect a phone call, despite me asking numerous times for them to phone to explain proceedings, they simply email. But as I explained to them I’m not a trained solicitor and don’t understand what things mean’t. Even when you phone them and eventually get through, the person you need to speak to isn’t there.

I can’t even believe they are still operating as I’m pretty sure they have had countless complaints (read the older reviews) I will be in contact with my insurer to advise against anyone using these clowns!

The amount of needless stress I have endured since December is beyond. I am back on antidepressants and have also suffered hair loss with the undue stress of this shocking company. They just don’t care in the slightest. Use at your own risk! But I would strongly advise against it, I wish I had found a reputable company at the start instead of going along with my insurer. Glad to see the back of this poor company!
