After an initial quote of £1975 + vat the final bill for my purchase was £4775 + vat. This was for the purchase of a new build house. My neighbours completed on the same day with a bill from their solicitors of £2000. While I understand that there can always be unforeseen complications this disparity in costs is unreasonable. I'm sure the hours charged for were in fact worked - the problem is that I believe PCM made it over complicated and hence expensive.
PCM kept me informed of the rising costs, but of course, having started with them it would have been impossible to switch solicitors mid way through the process

Terrible service. Although I am currently in breach of contract with no clear reason given by them apart from 'we need more time to run checks' they are avoiding my contact and not returning my completion fund including their 'Completion' fee
