AVOID!!!!

AVOID!!!!! Would give 0 stars is possible.

They are absolute inexperienced crooks. Please believe all of the negative reviews posted as the ones giving 5 stars are fake and most likely Rajans family members. I saw all of the negative reviews and decided to go with them as they knew a family friend of ours (who had not actually done a mortgage via them).

From the start, Rajan is just out for your money and passes on the work to unqualified staff. He will sell you the moon and earth on an initial phonemail then disappear into the abyss when you actually begin working with them. When I queried all the negative reviews he blamed the people and said 'anything above 3 stars on google is fine' So unprofessional! I'm even questioning his qualifications at this point.

The staff sent me legal documents which contained another persons details - Complete breach of GDPR. This was fobbed off as a 'typo'. Was spoken to rudely by staff, especially Sam who has already been mentioned for his rudeness in the reviews before. Decided to cut my loses with them and got another conveyancer to work with. These solicitors made the process 2x as long and 1000 times more stressful than needed.

IF YOU WANT A COMPLETE AND SOUND CONVEYANCER SERVICE, DO NOT CHOOSE THESE SOLICITORS!!!!!!! You will regret it - Be warned!

Review from a seasoned Estate Agent

Excellent service that was prompt and professional. I've dealt with many conveyancers over my time as a negotiator for Ellis & Co and nothing is as frustrating as a solicitor who you cannot get a response from. Every time I called I always received an update, all their staff are very knowledgeable. If you want the legal aspect of the sale of your house to run smoothly, use Rajan or Sam from GJ Templeman.

Conveyancing Excellence

I recently used GJ Templeman to effect the sale of a rental property owned jointly by myself and my two sons, one of whom lives in Australia.

The firm acted with consistent excellence and both their work and style were outstandingly good. They managed very capably with the complexities of completing both contracts and ID checks both in the UK and in Australia, and delivered a smooth and speedy service throughout.

A particular feature of the trim is the noticeably high skill level of non solicitor support staff - both conveyancing executives and administrative officers are expert, courteous and very efficient. Fee levels are very reasonable and technical skill, execution and help could not be faulted

I will definitely use this outstanding firm again for any future property transaction and very highly recommend them.

Conveyancing services

We were fortunate to find this small but highly focussed legal practice when we moved from London in early October.

The firm handled our conveyance very skilfully, and dealt with complications caused by a commonly owned area and a management company with effectiveness. When it was necessary to apply a degree of pressure to our vendor's solicitor to meet deadlines, this was done diplomatically and professionally.

I had occasion to make 7 separate visits to Templeman's offices in the weeks running up to completion, and on each occasion was received with courteous and efficient treatment.

A good and personal service overall which helped us to move.

Ditto to the previous review... DO NOT USE

I don't have time to go into EVERY example I have of their sheer lack of empathy, lack of customer service, their rudeness. it is a backstreet solicitors and runs like one.
piles of files with peoples personal information just stacked up against the wall next to their desks not securely filed!
Lazy is one word i would use for one individual, he doesn't even pretend to care or be professional when you walk in to talk to him face to face.
avoid like the plague,
btw we sold 2 properties and purchased 2 properties through them in this one instance..... but that didn't matter to them.
in fact when our buyers wanted early completion they wouldn't waiver the early completion fee (that only some solicitors choose to charge) and buying and selling double through them didn't mean a thing.
we were told that they had retrieved all the info they required from the searches to move the process forward, to then be told 2 weeks later "we are missing ***" i said oh you said they were in.... "well they are not"... not "oh i apologise we missed this info but we are on to it now". and that was way many conversations went through the whole process.
once you start the process with a solicitor its seems very silly and not cost effective to then change solicitors SO DO NOT GO WITH THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!!!!!!!

Awful traumatic experience

I recently used GJ Templeman for sale of my property as well as purchase of new property at the same time. I am very shocked and appalled with lack of empathy and dire customer service that I have received throughout the process. It was a very stressful experience dealing with them and customer service is non-existent in this company. Cheryl who acted on my behalf gave conflicting information on numerous occasions and it marred my faith and caused tremendous stress and anxiety during conveyancing process. I was advised to pay 10% deposit by Cheryl for purchase of new property which was totally incorrect as I was selling my property to the council due to regeneration at the same time. Fortunately I got hold of contact details of council’s legal advisor who was dealing with my file and she communicated with Cheryl and sorted out payment issue which was not required when I spoke to her. Further, as per the offer letter from the council, they had agreed to cover additional overheads towards my purchase of new property which was again contradicted by GJ Templeman. I had to speak to council’s legal advisor again and she communicated on my behalf with Cheryl and agreed to pay the same which was never an issue as advised by her. Council’s legal advisor was far reassuring, kind, empathetic and most helpful. She even advised me to contact her if I faced any more issues with GJ Templeman and she helped me a lot. There was an issue with the title plan on my purchase and it took far longer than it was required by GJ Templemen to sort it out. I had to ring land registry myself to get a response in order to expedite the process. Finally, completion was done in November and I had to keep chasing them to complete registration with the land registry . Despite of numerous phone calls and e-mails, they only sent paper works to land registry on the 31st Jan. Land Registry only took 2 days to process the paper works and filed it on the 2nd Feb. I endeavoured to give feedback to the proprietor Mr Rajan Nahar and he replied back obnoxiously. It was the most traumatic experience dealing with this company and I shall never ever use this firm again.
