First Class Service!

We recently sold a listed property in Cheam and bought a bungalow in Seaford.
Tracey Thornton was exceptional in her handling of both sale and purchase. She had very good knowledge of issues that arise with listed properties and dealt with everything efficiently.

Tracey kept in touch personally and we met regularly with her at the offices in Cheam which we found very reassuring!

Her support staff were also extremely helpful and answered our questions promptly, as they arose.
Tracey managed to stick to the time scale requested by our purchasers despite issues which arose from our purchase!

We can't recommend Howell Jones highly enough!

Terrible customer service

Not heard from them after using their online enquiry form over 2 weeks ago. Called 24 hours ago and yet again still waiting for someone to call back. When i mentioned no contact in 2 weeks from online form, the lady didn't ask me about this or apologise. Shocking service from so-called professionals.

An expensive mistake – I would avoid this firm

I would not recommend this firm, I believe they are more focused on charging their clients huge amounts of money rather than acting in their client’s interests.

We instructed Shahida Salim (supported by Georgie Burkhill) to act on our behalf for the sale of our house after reading some positive reviews.

3 weeks after instructing Howell-Jones, our buyers pulled out, and we were charged £1399.80 (this sum was charged for the 3 weeks our file was open with Shahida/ Howell-Jones). When I asked if any of the work they had already carried out could be used for when we secured a new buyer (e.g. because it would presumably involve updating names and addresses on the forms), they advised it would not, and that once we secured a new buyer we would be charged the full cost of the sale without taking into account the work we’d already paid for. We could not risk being charged £1399.80 every time a potential buyer might pull out after a short number of weeks, so we sought other legal representation, who have since advised us that what we experienced with Howell-Jones is not usual/ representative of the legal industry.

After this experience, we will never use Howell-Jones in future, and we will be advising all our friends in the area to avoid this firm.

Amazing service

Amazing service received from Shahida and the team. Thank you so much for making our moving process smooth. We anticipated moving into our property in the new year, but you made the whole process enjoyable, smooth and fast. We were kept informed at every stage and knew what you were working on and waiting for. There was no hidden fees, paid fees quoted. Would highly recommend and use them again.
