Read the reviews

I was involved in a RTA . 27 August 22.
My insurance company RSA gave me the contact details for Carpenters.
After the initial formalities over a couple of weeks they have failed in dealing with my claim professionally. They don't respond to emails or phone calls. I have been given numerous different persons who have supposedly took it over to mo avail. I am sorry I didn't read the reviews on this company beforehand.

Over 2 Years waiting

I have been trying to get my case settled for two years now after my accident in 2021.

These solicitors came out of nowhere and as I was suffering from PTSD, my brain just folded and I went along nonchalantly.

The first claims handler/Legal advisor I emailed so many times and rarely got a response, mostly an out of office reply.

Slowly one or two steps were taken and I felt it was moving forward. Then everything came to a halt.

The next thing is I receive an email out of the blue, whereby a new Legal advisor introduced himself.

I got in touch and first impressions were good.

But since things have dried up.

The last two emails I've sent recently, over two weeks ago have not been acknowledged.

Two phone calls and straight to voicemail, still no response.

The accident had a severe affect on me and being self employed my work has suffered terribly.

I've emphasised my predicament to Carpenters constantly but they don't seem to care in the slightest.

I have legal protection cover elsewhere and they have said they are willing to take my case on.

I'm dreading the fact that I could wait another long time but at least though, I would get communication and updates.

You know a solicitor that is proactive and provides updates.

Carpenters have one week to get things moving otherwise I'm going with my other firm I have.

Terrible company

How these are still in business I don't know, one of the worst companies I have ever had the misfortune to deal with, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone, the reviews on Yell seem to agree with me

Two years and still no conclusion.

I was injured in a rta early October 21 which the other party admitted liability for. I had a remote medical report in November 2021 and I was sufficiently recovered in January 2022 to start my claim for compensation. It was submitted through the OIC portal (SCNF) and then things went dead after many emails and messages from myself. I was told that my handler hand left Carpenters employment and I had been left in limbo. I was then I was transferred to a new handler. The new handler found that my claim had been submitted through the wrong portal. (None of the facts changed). So a year was wasted. I was then transferred to a handler that dealt with the MOJ portal. In February 2023 my claim was resubmitted through the MOJ portal and things went dead again after entering a written complaint I was told that my handler was on maternity leave and I had again been left in limbo. I was then transferred to another handler. I was asked to submit some photos of the scaring caused by the accident in June 23, which I submitted promptly and it took until October 23 for Carpenters to “update” the medical report which, when it arrived, was unchanged. During this protracted process I have sent many emails asking for information about the progress of my case the majority of these Emails have been ignored. I have tried to contact Carpenters Law on the phone but if I managed to get through I have been told that my case handler will contact me which fails to happen.

Avoid at all costs!

It's been 14 months since my accident and the whole experience with these lot has been appalling! They do not respond to emails, past 3 months or so I gave all the evidence they needed for my losses but hear nothing and have to chase it up and then get told the same thing about my losses still being calculated. I'd be surprised if I see any money for an accident the third party accepted liability for! Will look to take legal action against Carpenters Group

Don't accept this company to sort you accident claim out

Had an accident in May this year with hit and run driver. Straight forward claim for Excess, Costs incurred in the accident. Was passed on to this company but since then my claim handler Fanila Javid has repeatedly ignored my emails. Official complaint in and surprise surprise I was advised regularly that they were chasing my medical report. That was until the official 8 weeks was up. Then nothing. I have repeatedly emailed both customer complaints and my handler. Gave them until today and now the complaint will go in to the Ombudsman and the Law Society Complaints. I wish I had never touched this company. All I want is what I have lost financially that I can prove I have lost. help if you had any sort of complicated claim. Disgusting service and don't know how they are getting away with it.
