Excellent, professional service

Our experience buying and selling a property with Mark's Swarts Morse has been helpful, friendly and professional from the start. Our named solicitor, Alison Smith, was particularly helpful and patient, especially as the transaction wasn't exactly smooth. I would definitely recommend this firm

Brilliant throughout!!

Working with Gavin Young through our house purchase.
Have to say he has been amazing through the whole process. Constantly keeping me up to date with events and especially during the final weeks as we approached completion.
I would have zero hesitation in recommending him.
Many thanks!

Wouldn’t even give 1 star

Mark swatts morse couldn’t have made my first experience of buying a house worse. From the very start I had wrong addresses, incorrect invoices and bad customer service. I was in a 0 chain and it took 6 months! Not once did I receive a call back after requesting so many. I had to chase every single step of the way. I was told in January I hadn’t sent paperwork I had proof of sending SEPTEMBER!!! They added on a lot of money compared to my original quote and I still don’t know why but I don’t want to have to deal with them ever again. I had to get my mortage advisor involved in the end. Completion day I was told I would receive a call. No call… but conveniently as I chased it it had just gone through…. AVOID.

Unresponsive and slow

We were advised to use MSM via our estate agent, BIG mistake - took 6 weeks for them to even begin searches after being instructed, a further 8 weeks before they raised any enquiries, total lack of communication and so painfully unresponsive, the process took so long we ended up losing our sale and purchase, this was almost a month ago and have not even had an acknowledgment from them.

Baring in mind their fees were considerably higher than your average firm, it’s an absolute disgrace how our case was handled from start to finish.

would never use them again and would not recommend.

Unresponsive & painfully slow

I recently had the misfortune to be selling my flat to a buyer using Mark Swatts Morse for their conveyancing.

My experience was very poor. Even my own conveyancing solicitor noted that he’d never dealt with such an unresponsive and slow firm.

One month before the agreed exchange date, my buyers solicitor became entirely uncontactable for 3 weeks with no explanation or support from any one else at MSM in her absence. Once she finally contacted my buyer again, it became apparent that most of the work for the purchase was still to be done, with just 1 week to go to exchange.

It didn’t get better from here, and we had multiple missed completion dates before we finally managed to finalise the purchase. It took far longer than agreed for no good reason other than their laziness and incompetence.

There were also many examples of MSM missing documents and answers that we had sent, and further slowing the process by asking for the same information to be sent multiple times.

Overall Mark Swatts Morse made what should have been a simple and fast transaction incredibly slow, painful and stressful.
