New build purchase

Joanne and her team were incredibly professional and thorough throughout the whole process. I would always use an independent solicitor when purchasing a new build!

Zero stars

This experience was so poor I struggle to put it into words. Completion occurred over three weeks later following multiple errors in documents, a lack of communication, not responding to my emails, a solicitor being away for two weeks (apparently all work halts when this happens!), attachments that did not open, and an incorrect completion statement that would have charged me double. The team did not respond to emails meaning I spent months stressed and trying to chase them for updates and progress. The company itself does not provide an accessible service as their communication methods are all full of jargon, they do not explain processes and frequently do not reply to direct questions causing a lack of understanding for the client.

Would recommend people steer clear and find another company in the hope that they don't go through the same problems.

Better than you think

When we first signed up with PM our estate agents gave us a lot of vitriol about their rating, which was rubbish, but we spoke to Jack and he said they were conscious of it and improving. Despite everybody saying that PM was not good, they turned out to to be kind, attentive and respectful of everything we asked for, and telling us when we were off market.

Slow

Unbelievably slow. Didn't answer emails, took 15 minutes to answer the phone. Made mistakes and slow to correct. Eventually completed. Offered me a coffee for a review but never gave it to me. Now I'm being fined by HMRC because PM properties didn't pay stamp duty on time.

Completed sale within 11 weeks!

Really speedy service, more than worth the money. Always respond through the app within 24 hours like they say they will. Cannot complain at all. We had team Lancaster and we cannot say one bad word about them.

Cheap but slow

If you're not in a hurry fine, we were and yet there was no sense of urgency.
At first it all seemed very efficient but communication was not good, the online system seemed good but could have been more detailed so we actually knew what was going on.

As an estate agent of 20 years. These are by far the worst company I have ever dealt with.

I urge you NOT to use this company if you want a swift sale/purchase.

We had poor experience with this firm and severely impacted by their appalling service. They are non-responsive, inefficient and non transparent. My solicitor chased them several times and they simply ignored! The whole chain is waiting but they don’t tell us what we are waiting for. It’s been pending with no update no response more than two weeks. Our buyer who is legally contracted with them couldn’t get any response either. It’s over 6 months since the start of the process. The rest of the chain is ready to exchange a month ago and now it is about to collapse due to excessive delays caused by the firm. Avoid at all costs!

Unjust money taking from clients, huge delays and extra admin for clients.

Avoid engaging with this firm. They attempted to take my money unjustly, and only due to my proficiency in mathematics was I able to refute their grossly inaccurate claim. Despite multiple attempts to resist, they were ultimately compelled to refund me. Furthermore, they have dismissed any wrongdoing on their part and considered my acceptance of my own money as acceptance of their proposed resolution to my complaint. It's likely that they have defrauded numerous individuals over the years and will continue to do so unchecked. Further to this, their estimations are completely inaccurate, you will pay more.

Moreover, their response to issues is lethargic, and they lack practical solutions. Throughout my mortgage renewal process, I had to undertake a significant amount of administrative tasks because they allowed matters to stagnate without resolution and shifted responsibilities onto me to make progress. This led to significant delays. I will never again engage with this unprofessional firm.

Disappointing Experience with PM Lawyers – Lost Buyer Due to Inefficiency

I recently had an unfortunate experience with PM Lawyers, which regrettably resulted in the loss of a buyer for my property. Despite months of engagement and multiple follow-ups, the lack of progress and inefficiency in handling crucial aspects of the sale process were disheartening.

From the outset, the communication regarding the progress of the sale was minimal, and I found myself constantly chasing updates. The crucial stage of coordinating with solicitors seemed to be particularly problematic. Instead of facilitating a smooth process, I found myself doing the legwork for the solicitors, which not only consumed my time but also contributed to a sense of frustration.

This lack of proactive engagement and the evident delays in addressing key matters ultimately led to the buyer withdrawing their interest. The negligence displayed by PM Lawyers in handling my inquiries and addressing issues promptly has left me deeply dissatisfied.

In hindsight, the impact of this experience on my property sale has been significant. I hope that my feedback serves as a constructive critique for PM Lawyers to enhance their processes and improve customer satisfaction in the future.
