Emma at Johnson Astills was my family court solicitor in my application for a discharge of a care order. Emma found me a fantastic ISW and also a fantastic barrister to represent me. Although the care orders was not discharged due to circumstances out of our hands the service I had received was outstanding. Emma managed my situation as best as she possibly could with great care to attention to details and no page got unread. Emma and her team was fantastic and I will no doubt be going back to her in 12 months. Emma handled all my emotions extremely well as I showed all motions possible in such a high stress situation. Emma's translations from legal jargon to english was very easy to understand. A spade is a spade. There was alot of time care and attention that went into my case and her experience as a child's representative really came into play and useful. Emma is extremely experienced and well respected within the courts due to her professionalism and work ethics. I never once heard any negative comments at a court regarding Emma or Johnson astills. Emma always endeavoured to make contact with me during the day whenever I called her and she was busy whether via e-mail but more often than not a lengthy telephone call until I completely understood what I needed to know. As I say the judgement was not in my favour however that was not down to any wrongdoing by Emma, her Barrister or myself. Take it from someone who knows what he wants and isn't afraid to say, Emma is definitely the family solicitor you need in your corner because if there is an argument to be had then Emma will have it and more often than not win! I would always have direct contact with Emma, it was extremely rare that I would be transfered to her paralegal however when I was her paralegal was fully up to date and Emma would also make contact at the very eqrliest opportunity to clarify that I understood everything. Never have I had a solicitor make sure I fully understood every step.
