Good experience, although our estate agent updated us much more about what was happening in the process. However when we communicated by email or phone Molly was very knowledgable and helpful. I cannot comment on Navjit Singh Degun as I never had any communication with him.

Our experience started positively, but then it was a slightly bumpy ride. The app worked well initially for filling in forms, but then it stopped allowing us to track the progress of our purchase and sale. Communication was a little hit and miss. Some emails and calls were responded to, others went ignored or "didn't arrive". I was informed by our estate agent that everyone in our chain was ready but they were all waiting for our solicitors. It took multiple attempts to chase them, but after finally getting hold of them, we were informed that they were actually waiting for our vendor's solicitors to provide some paperwork. Paperwork was provided and a completion date was agreed, removals booked, etc. We were then informed just over a week before completion that our case handler had "left the business", our case was being handed over to another case handler, and that meeting our completion date wasn't going to be possible! After internal discussions between our estate agents and the solicitors, it was agreed our case would be prioritised due to the fast approaching completion date. We then found out a day before completion, a requirement that we had requested to be included at the start of the process 4 months earlier, and discussed 2-3 weeks before completion with our previous handler hadn't been recorded anywhere, meaning paperwork had to be quickly drafted to be signed. Chloe and Amanda were actually both pretty good, Chloe in particular in having to deal with the fallout of our case handler leaving the business, and everything seemed to get sorted correctly in the end, but the last 2-3 were very stressful, and this was mainly due to Levi Solicitors.

This was my second recent experience of using Levi's for a house sale and whilst they got the work completed I found the communication links to keep me informed of progress was quite poor. I also found the pace of progress to be slow but maybe that's just the general conveyancing world now.

Levis were great from start to finish. They always answered emails and phone calls and always did their best to help. Scott and Team Dickinson who were dealing with the sale and purchase went above and beyond during this extremely stressful time. Scott's job was made more difficult with the solicitors on either side of the chain being absolutely awful and non-communicative however Scott continued to keep me updated and chase both sides to help me complete before my mortgage offer ended. I would recommend and use Levis again in the future but I would definitely ask for Scott to deal with my case.

The worst part of buying and/or selling a house is the conveyancing. This is the fifth time I have “suffered” this since 1979. This transaction didn’t disappoint with the stamp duty change at the end of September. It took over two weeks after we were all ready to exchange contracts! One solicitor seemed to be reluctant to communicate with the others and we gambled on a move actually happening by organising removal companies the day before the deadline. The team at Levi Solicitors were brilliant. I used them as I had seen them advertised in the Leeds United fanzine, The Square Ball. From the the initial quotation, to agreeing a sale and purchase contract, through the process to completion was undertaken giving me full confidence with picking them to sort out the sale and purchase. Everyone I dealt with were helpful, professional and importantly proactive. The communication was there and I wasn’t left waiting for answers. I had access to a Partner when required. I apologise for rambling but it is so refreshing to deal with a conveyancing solicitor that actually cares and at a competitive cost. Thank you.

Constant mistakes throughout the process of buying a house. Some absolutely huge mistakes were made figures with a difference of around £10k, mistakes with final bill, being overcharged, then undercharged, spelling mistakes throughout the documentation. The whole process was absolutely crazy start to finish.
