We at ReviewSolicitors want clients to get the information they need to make the right choice first time when choosing a solicitor, and we'd love to have your help doing that. If you have used a law firm in the past, you can submit a written review detailing the experience that you had. We encourage you to share your opinions, both favourable and unfavourable.
Writing great reviews helps others instruct a solicitor that is perfect for them. Here are a few tips:
Be informative and offer genuine insight: Be specific and relevant to the solicitor and experience you are reviewing. Describe what other visitors are likely to experience. Highlight what makes the solicitor unique, and try to share something novel and new. From the manner in which they communicated with you to the unique advice they provided, reviews should reveal the experience you had with the solicitor.
Write with respect: Not every experience with a solicitor is going to be perfect. Sometimes you’ll want to share negative feedback. Even if you’re frustrated, make sure your criticism is constructive. Solicitors often use feedback to improve their service and correctly worded, your review could make the difference.
Be honest: Review your own experience, and explain why you liked or disliked the law firm. Try to be as accurate as possible, and include both the positive and negative aspects of your experience.
Give justification: The best reviews include not only whether you liked or disliked experience, but also why. Feel free to talk about the expertise of the advice you were given but also on how you felt you were treated by the law firm - for example, did they answer your communication in a timely manner, or were they able to explain things using language that you understood?
Be specific: Your review should focus on the service you received and be a true representation of your experience. Other people in a similar situation will benefit from knowing more about the specifics of how the law firm assisted you and your personal experience.
Not too short, not too long: The ideal length is 75 to 500 words. Remember that people are unlikely to read every little detail if your review is too long.
Be sincere: We welcome your honest opinion about the law firm you used. We do not remove reviews because they are critical. We believe all helpful information can inform new clients and help them choose which solicitor is right for them.
Write accurately and descriptively: People will pay attention when you write thoughtful reviews. Keep them readable and avoid excessive capitalisation or punctuation. Use good grammar, check your spelling, and avoid profanity. Be creative and have fun!
