Awful experience

The completion date was requested and agreed with the buyer 4months ago, however solicitor did not share necessarily requirement only 2 working days before required date, even though they had the details for two weeks, claiming the person was on holiday and only attended to the matter after the leave. Does not pick up the phone, no way of escalating the matter as the line manager does not pick up the phone either. No way to get in touch or check progress, everything is done in their own time with no regard to preasing and agreed timelines. No efforts made to expedite the completion date or address the matter with a solution even after number of attempts. The completion is still pending and due to their incompetence I am now left paying 12% interest on my mortgage that gone into variable rate.

Buying my first home.

Overall very impressed with how I was dealt with, everything went very smoothly, where we could get a head on stuff to speed the process up this was always done which I greatly appreciated, questions were always answered and helpful advice given and as first time buyer was plenty of questions, never felt stressed during the whole process
