I recently used Howells Solicitors at Rotherham to deal with all the legal matters when selling one house and buying another. My solicitor was Tina Staves and I cannot recommend her too highly, she was excellent in every way. She deals with every detail quickly but thoroughly, leaving nothing to chance. She is really friendly and pleasant to deal with and is very efficient. She is excellent at her job. I have dealt with many solicitors over the years and Tina was the best by far. I would recommend her to everyone if they want a good job completed without fuss. I wouldn’t hesitate to use her again. Her assistant Jessica Carnell was also really good, very friendly and helpful.

House Purchase
I had originally selected Howells to deal with my conveyancing requirements based on competitive pricing structure and convenience and locality of the branch, and I'm so glad that I did! Tina was allocated to my case and was no less than outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble. Communication was excellent from the start with everything explained to me. Any queries I had were answered promptly and I felt fully informed and re-assured throughout the whole process, which ran smoothly and in line with my expectations. A special and well deserved mention also goes to Jessica who worked with Tina, for her warm friendly approach and quality of communications. These two nail customer care! Buying a house can be stressful but I was in safe hands and it was a pleasure doing business. I would have no hesitation in working with Tina and Jessica again and would highly recommend. A big thank you to both of them - from one very happy customer!

Purchase of house
Tina was very professional as was her colleague Jessica, any problems I had were dealt with quickly and things explained clearly to me as a first time buyer would highly recommend Tina to anyone looking to buy a house.
I wouldn't recommend having to deal with one of the receptionists as she was very rude, I was made to feel like I had no right been in there even though I was paying for a service like everyone else.

House conveyance
Having said that I would never approach a different solicitor if I needed one after a previous unrelated issue, having received a first class service, I am happy to reaffirm that statement.
During the sale conveyance of my father's house Tina and Jessica were outstanding. If I called Jessica with an issue she was nearly always available to speak and when she wasn't she would always call me back, even if I hadn't left a message.
If there was a legal inquiry Tina was always happy to discuss and explain this and if she wasn't available she would always call me after receiving my request.
Add to this the extremely helpful front of house staff at the Sheffield office, I have no reservations in recommending Howells for any legal assistance required.

House conveyancing
This house sale became quite protracted for various reasons but at no time did this distract the team working on it.
I was kept fully informed and if I wasn't sure about anything, Jessica was nearly always available on the phone. When she wasn't, she would always call me back when she was back in the office, even when I left her no message. When things were needed to be discussed with the solicitor, Tina, she was always happy to take a call and if unavailable always called me back when she was able to.
Similar to my last service review of Howells solicitors on an unrelated service I will repeat that in future I will look no further than instructing Howells again if I need them. Excellent service even though selling a house is a pretty rubbish time.

Professional and Excellent Service
We opted Howells after reviewing their online feedback. And the experience we had with Howells did not disappoint us at all. Throughout the whole process of selling and purchasing of our properties, Jessica and Tina were very helpful, supportive and professional. We have had an excellent service from Jessica and Tina on every aspect of the conveyancing and had prompt responses every time we had an query. Conveyancing for the purchase of a property
Tina Staves was very accommodating when I requested a meeting in person and dealt with all my queries immediately and thoroughly explaining things that I didn’t understand.

Deed transfer
Never received a call from my solicitor. Never really got any guidance or advice; information I already had was parroted back to me, and no options were ever presented - I don't class this as guidance or advice... I am not a solicitor.
Communication was not clear; tasks requiring my attention were left for me to deduce. I dealt with about 4 or 5 different people, but never spoke or met my solicitor.
I'll not recommend this company, and probably actively dissuade people from using the company; the job was done, but I'm not sure that I got the help I needed, nor did I feel that the company, which was happy to take my money, had my interests in mind.
Not entirely sure what I was paying for; I feel like once the company had my money - I was just cattle.
