Catherine is a Partner in the Court of Protection team at Thomson Snell & Passmore, and a Director of the Thomson Snell & Passmore Trust Corporation. The team is one of the largest in England and Wales and is consistently ranked in the top tier for Court of Protection work nationally, in both the Legal 500 and Chambers directories. Catherine specialises in Court of Protection and deputyship work, with particular expertise in complex brain injury cases. Catherine manages high value clinical negligence and personal injury damages awards on behalf of clients who have sustained a traumatic brain injury, including cerebral palsy. As well as acting as a professional deputy, Catherine assists lay deputies with a wide range of applications to the Court of Protection, including applications for appointments and statutory wills. Catherine works closely and collaboratively with her clients, their families, case managers, multidisciplinary teams, and personal injury and clinical negligence lawyers, to ensure she always acts in the best interests of her clients.
