Rajan has over five years of experience in family law and understands that disputes regarding children and finances, whether following the breakup of a relationship or during a relationship, can be extremely difficult and draining and always provides his client with sensible, practical advice to achieve long-term stability in line with the client's objectives. Where agreement cannot be reached and it is necessary to attend court, Rajan ensures that he is advised and represents his clients every step of the way and provides advocacy at court to ensure their views are properly put forward.
Rajan accepts that issues can arise at any time and not strictly on a 9-5 basis and is available as and when needed.
He has achieved successful outcomes in highly contentious and difficult cases and will bring that determination and insight to all his cases.
Rajan is a keen reader and although favours fantasy and sci-fi literature, he has read a wide variety of genres and authors from the ‘classics’ to the not so classic. He is also an avid gamer and in the past has invested considerable time in his machines. When not reading or gaming Rajan spends time with family and friends, going on bike rides and attempting to go to the gym. He is also an enthusiastic, if somewhat uncoordinated, dancer.

My experience with southgate
My overall experience with Southgate solicitors was one of upmost excellence. I came to them in my time of crisis, and they made me feel comfortable, relaxed and somewhat it back in control. The particular solicitor I dealt with was Rajan and I must say he couldn’t of done enough to help. My problems were solved within a couple of weeks I must say at full success. I would recommend the solicitors to anyone who is looking for a Child Law Solicitor right now. Would recommend again & again!

Great support and advice throughout court case

Experienced, professional and consistent
I was a client of Rajan's over a few years in a past complex case. Amongst his other areas of expertise, Rajan is also familiar with the usual patterns and behaviour of a narcissistic parent/ex. He brought to my situation input that at the time, I would never have been able to provide alone - the legal knowledge, the consistency, the plans and timings are all sharp. At times, Rajan was at the receiving end of my tears, moans and shock as we navigated our way through what felt to me like a family court storm. His consistently calm, rational and wise input enabled me to trust him in this work at a time when it wasn't particularly easy to put trust in others.

Thank you Rajan
My first solicitor quit.
It seemed impossible to continue my case as a whole as I was told by the previous solicitor and all other solicitors I had contacted that the court can't deal with the different aspects of the case and make a decision on it all together.
It was simply too complex.
Then I had an introduction interview with Rajan and he actually agreed that it only makes sense to do it all together now instead of splitting the case up.
He informed me very understandable and clearly about the legal side of things as well as choices I would have and what working with him would be like.
His work style as he described it that day, was as it was throughout the whole journey.
Easy, professional and straight forward.
He was always available for questions, clarification, discussion, etc via email and phone.
We usually finished statements in time or even before the deadline.
He connected me to two good barristers and he was somehow even able to secure me a legal aid certificate.
Long story short, since working with Southgate solicitors, I was very glad that I had to find a new solicitor as Rajan was able to put my mind at ease coming from a very high anxiety level regarding everything to do with court.

Exceptional professional
