Ashley qualified as a solicitor in 2001 after obtaining his Law Degree at the University of Sheffield and completing his Legal Practice Course at the College of Law. Ashley joined the team at Butterworths in 2014. He was as the firm’s Compliance Officer for Legal Practice and the firm’s Complaints Handler so has a broad knowledge and understanding of all areas of work undertaken by the firm. Since qualifying as a solicitor, Ashley has worked exclusively in dispute resolution and litigation matters, including alternative dispute resolution (ADR), in the County Court, the High Court, the Employment Tribunal and the First-tier Tribunal, Property Chamber, Land Registration Division in subject areas including: • boundary, neighbour and property disputes; and • consumer matters; and • contested wills, probates and estates; and • contract disputes; and • commercial and residential landlord and tenant disputes; and • debt collection and enforcement of judgments; and • employment advice for employees and employers; and • negligence and professional negligence; and • nuisance and statutory nuisance.
