A graduate in law from University of Southampton, he qualified as a solicitor in 2004 and has dedicated his career to assisting anyone looking to acquire or dispose of land and buildings. His self-admitted "first love" is dealing with commercial and business premises, from industrial estates to warehousing space, manufacturing, retail portfolios and offices. A family background in the licensed hospitality trade gives him a particularly valuable insight into the specific challenges facing anyone looking to purchase a hotel or guest house, restaurant, pub or bar (tied or free house), coffee house, café or sandwich bar. In April 2021, at the height of the Stamp Duty Land Tax "holiday", Dan took the reins of a conveyancing team from a retiring colleague and guided it through an extremely busy time, ensuring that no client was left without the legal and transactional support to bring their transaction through to a successful conclusion. Seeing the continued development of his team during and beyond this period is one of the proudest moments of his career to date. He can often be found training and developing junior members of our property teams to resolve all manner of complex property issues and ensure that they deliver the best care and attention they can to our clients, and guiding first-time buyers and new business owners through the complex world of owning or leasing property and managing the risks that come with it.
