Divorce and beyond...
I initiated divorce proceedings from my ex-husband in 2017 and Matthew Thom was the first and only solicitor I spoke to regarding this process, which as anyone can imagine is very challenging and extremely stressful, especially with three young children involved. Matthew was kind and empathetic, but professional and clear, you never want to have to understand the legalities around divorce, but Matthew always explained realistically and clearly. I was always confident that he was advising from a place of knowledge. After lengthy process, which involved Courts and barristers, we eventually finalised the divorce just over a year later. Unfortunately since that time there were further issues, and Matthew had moved to Maddox Legal. I was confident that Maddox and Matthew would continue to uphold the same values and I was not disappointed. After another long and protracted process (the legal system is never quick) we eventually reached a final settlement. To be honest, I miss talking to Matthew and my barrister, even though I am glad I don't have to any more! I genuinely think they are worth every penny they get paid, they go above and beyond and the communication is always so quick and accurate. It has been a pleasure to know Matthew and I would recommend him and Maddox Legal in a heartbeat. Thank you so much!
