Like most people faced with an unexpected legal event… I was bewildered, terrified and struggled to differentiate between the legal firms that promised a lot, and those that delivered a lot.

Akram and Andrew are very much the latter, and I couldn’t be more thankful for the support and advice they provided to my wife and I during an extremely protracted and stressful period of my life.

We have recently got 'not guilty' verdict from our trial which was a great result indeed!! We can not express ourselves good enough to Mr Akram and Mr Kevin (King's counsel) the team was the most amazing team to keep our future life safe. When my husband was reported and under investigation then the case was decided to go for trial at Crown court, our family lost our life and we did not know what to do. As a duty solicitor did not really seem to help with our case, we had to find someone then luckily we spoke with Mr Adrew from Holborn Adams and met Mr Akram. I made a terrible mistake and found myself in serious trouble with the law facing a lengthy jail sentence as I was originally charged with GBH (section 18), thanks to the expertise, and vast knowledge of Akram and his team, I'm pleased and very grateful to say he/they managed to get me a deal for a lessor offence GBH (section 20) for which I pleaded guilty to with the outcome being a suspended sentence and community order. Five months ago, my son was accused of ‘taking and making indecent photographs of a child’. The child was his 17-year-old ex-girlfriend and her allegation hit our family like a grenade.

I Googled “solicitor indecent images” on my phone and spoke to ‘Andrew Ford’ from Holborn Adams. It was a very helpful conversation. There was no clock ticking against the conversation and he gave what was really First Aid to our situation. His view was to nip the whole thing in the bud by using ‘Pre-Charge Representation.’

Akram expertly helped my 15 year old son after he got caught up with a group of youths misbehaving and causing criminal damage in a high street store. The store chain wanted to press charges and the police pursued the whole group under group enterprise.
