I worked closely with Sophie, head of the family department for almost 18 months on a complex familial matter involving marital and child issues which were often incredibly complex and challenging. Needless to say, throughout the whole process, Sophie was calm, reassuring and absolutely reassuring with both her advice and compassion toward the situation. Even during the most trying times, Sophie was able to use her wealth of experience and professionalism to help me and the situation; guiding and above all caring about the outcome. At times, the emotional support and direction was as valuable as the legal input - a balance that is worth its weight in gold.

Outstanding Family Service - Sophie Hughes
I worked closely with Sophie for almost 18 months on a complex familial matter involving marital and child arrangement issues which, at times, were incredibly complex and challenging. Needless to say, throughout the whole process, Sophie was calm, reassuring and absolutely fantastic with both her advice and compassion toward the situation. Even during the most trying times, Sophie was able to use her wealth of experience and professionalism to help me and the situation; guiding and above all caring about the outcome. At times, the emotional support and direction was as valuable as the legal input - a balance that is worth its weight in gold.
At no point was it ever about the ability to accrue further legal costs - in fact, it was quite often the opposite, with Sophie suggesting ways to cut down legal costs and time/effort. No matter how bad things got, Sophie was always available face to face, on the phone or via email.
Her experience shines through and from start to finish. The handling of the situation was impeccable. Sophie knew exactly when to sit tight and be patient and also when to play hard ball and push things forward. The case played out almost exactly as she predicted and thankfully, we got the outcome we had hoped for. Caring for the welfare of the children involved above all else, the client care was absolutely exceptional and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Sophie to friends and colleagues going forward.
