Back in May I paid said solicitors £200 to look into a case After a free half hr consultation. They were polite, courteous and I thought helpful. I paid said amount on good faith of receiving some information about something I have no knowledge of only what had been stated to me by the police. As you can imagine I was expecting something of reasonable knowledge after all they are solicitors. After waiting 6 months and hearing nothing I decided to ring and speak to them only to be told by the solicitor that nothing had been done as I hadn't paid. I had 6 months ago. As you can imagine I wasn't happy but things happen so I accepted an apology and waited for information to be forthcoming. Well last week was the week and what can I say..... After waiting over 6 months and paying £200 the solicitor rings and says....wait for it..... exactly what we told him 6 and half months ago. I couldn't believe it. No new info nothing just exactly what we told him we knew and for that great information I had the privilege of paying £200. Now I can imagine that sitting in their great chairs they may think that that gives them the right to rip people off but in my books it doesnt. I asked for my £200 back but in a normal grandeur manor where people think they are entitled I was told "no, the job had been done". Well in my eyes the only thing that has been done was me,done over by a company of selfish, unprofessional people who enjoy taking other people's hard earned cash. So do yourself a favour don't enter their doors ,they'll probably charge you.Go find another solicitor.
