I founded WH Lawrence Solicitors in January 2013. Since qualifying in the mid-1990s, I have acted almost exclusively as a property litigator. I spent the early part of my career at national firm, Eversheds in Manchester before moving to London to work at City practice, SJ Berwin until 2006. Following a short stint in the West End, I joined national firm Hammonds (now Squire Patton Boggs) heading their London property litigation practice as a Partner. My clients range from commercial landlords and commercial tenants, to high net worth individuals and charities, all with property interests throughout the country.

True Professionals
We have been struggling for nearly 3 months to get a lodger who was sharing the house with us to move out of our property as we wanted to sell the house. While still sharing the house with us and giving us empty promises, the lodger was preparing to challenge us in courts if we decided to evict him. Property litigation advice of the highest quality
I lead the real estate department of the small London office of a US firm and we do not have a specialist real estate litigator in the office.

Adverse possession claim
William handled an adverse passion claim for us a few years ago. It had been something that we had wanted to do for many years, our previous solicitor specialised in conveyancing and did not seem to have an appetite for our claim. I decided to sort it out and found William Lawrence. From our first meeting I felt I had found someone that would be able to get to grips with our situation and resolve it. William was very thorough, collected as much information as we could provide and put a plan together that laid our problem to rest. Identity of claimant dispute
Working with William was a pleasure, absolute first class service from start to finish, nothing was a job to big, the reassurance and information provided at any time upon request was clear and concise. Which made myself at ease and clear in my mind how the case would develop. Communication and knowledge provided by William with direct contact to myself made myself feel I was in safe hands. Superb professional support through challenging times
Will Lawrence was amazingly helpful from time-to-time over about a 10 year period whilst dealing with a lease renewal, a lease end, dilapidations and business rates. Will always made himself available within a day or two and always kept to any promised deadlines with regard to written responses. Pragmatic and reliable, I always felt well supported.
