20-You invited me to your office again and I explained my concerns regarding what my friends told me along with my own reservations.

21-You told me “I can’t use this £8,000”. If you felt that way SENER. You was feeling guilty you wanted to refund my £8,000 back to me.I was unsure what to do and I told you give me time until tomorrow

22-While we are talking we started talking about my life etc.Which wasn’t relevant. I felt relax for a moment then I have realised taken your time,I told you.I must go otherwise you will be Charge me for listening me. You told me not you will not be charged.I said thank you for listening my story.I Stood up and you stood up next to me just by the door. I was expected you to open the door lock and let me out.I Didn’t see you making any efforts or movement to open the door for me.I unlocked and opened door myself while walking home.I felt this moment been trapped, uncomfortable and unsafe.

23–I didn’t know who to trust anymore. it was and still is a terrifying and uncertain time.

25-You told me you needed to calculate how much money was needed and that you will deduct the amount from the £8,000.

26◦ You told me on the phone that the amount was around £4,500. The same day they called me offered me £4,000. You was already taken from me £11,800. I was feeling stuck depressed.I couldn’t even slept.

27◦ I felt extremely cheated and been lied to.I didn’t know what to do as I was in a trapped situation by you.If I agreed to the £4,500 then £7,300 would be lost. I had very difficult days and I do not wish to go back to being homeless again. You always told me in each meeting we had that you have been touched by this.

28◦ I asked to continue and you also promised me you won’t ask more than £12,000 several times including barrister and vat.
29◦ I understand from your email that you did not mention anything about the aforesaid. You used vague language with words such as: estimate.

30-This is make me feel drained, felt been scammed.I immediately contacted you by email and phone even going to lose my case.I didn’t care.I wasn’t happy you keep demanding just money.

32◦ You told me you will request them for me instead. You asked for medical records and I provided them the week after by visiting my GP Practice. You asked me if my witness had been heard in court and I told you my partner lost her father and she had to fly back home. My other witness is coming forward after the hearing.

36◦ You also told appeal tribunal case two weeks, you told me too late to respond but we will ask the tribunal to consider.

37◦ I asked you what will happen and you told me that you can’t do anything until you have heard from Appeal Tribunal just to be petition and wait for the decision.

38◦ I asked you, how likely is my case to succeed? You told me “you already won my love but the judge will reward you a low amount of compensation, you will make sure you will get your spending” Until that moment you never told me your claim only £8,800 on the lower band. You made me spent £11.800.You keep telling me.You said to have competition or and up no competition no problem for you.

39◦ I asked if there was risk involved and you said No because You won the case only judge has to reward you with competation.

40-Your very first email to me is dated 25/05/23 You never told me that you also charge for emails and that’s why I hardly email you back too scared since.

41-However, until last 72 hours to the hearing you started bombard me via emails or phone calls.I feel you do that for only one reason putting me under the pressure and demand more money which you did just day before to the hearing. You used this as a opportunity just to increase my bill.

42- I scared email your emails back. You told me come to office take your bundle for the court hearings. When I come to collect you asked from me more money again for barrister.

42-I felt this moment dizzy.I thought that I am going to claps on the floor and to die inside the your office.

43-You Told me why you look so upset. You look so bad, stress. You told me you can’t work like that go and get sick note 3 or 4 months. How much you can.I told you.I can request 2 weeks more you said take 2 months.I called my GP said my solicitor thinks I need sick note. She give me 2 months.

44-You was telling me you need to submit in 10 minutes I was asking you give me 30 minutes.I was keep harrying up. I couldn’t eat I couldn’t slept even into the dreams I was showing you some doing me emails. I was wakes up no emails and my sleep was disturbed. I was feeling unwell. I called my GP signed off for two weeks. When I come to your office you told me you don’t look unwell.I told you yes I am not well because this ace and your emails and calls ruined my life. You told me go GP ask more sick note.

45- I told you two weeks enough.I believe when this case finish will be calm. You advice me;if you don’t get sick note they think this is not genuine. I called my GP made phone consultation.I told her my solicitor recommended me get sick note because.I am not well. I requested two months as you requested.

46-I have told you that. I am not upset just disappointed and helpless myself because you know better than me,You trying scaring me, taken advantage.I should be listen my friends and pull way myself from you.I am not happy that you keep asking more and more money.I left while walking home I have reservations and nagging doubts, which trouble me immensely, especially as I am worried about how much more you are going to ask.I was ready just drop all case didn’t want you to scam me more and more.

47-I emailed you asked to stop asking money if you want to do for £11,800 do it otherwise just leave it.

48-You informed me your barrister wife passed away. Am sorry to hear that.I felt this money just drop to case from your representation I take this is kind of sign Allah given me . I Was ready just drop while case because your attitude using the law just excuse and making profit by scaring people.

Why you decided to do everything last 72 hours.

49-You told me that.We can use your sick note as an excuse to the court she is going to tell court his not well that’s why we end up responding late.

50-I was’t happy you to use this as a excuse the court.I am very moral person don’t like attitude like that.

51-I said to you not you can’t use as excuse to cover your deliberate action.I am not unwell the real reason you left everything last 72 hours this is only reason become unwell.I was hardly sleeping from your emails and calls.I was become paranoid.I couldn’t recognize my face on the mirror.

61-He has failed to submit evidence she was looking for.You could reward me on high compesation so.I was so disappointed and shocked speechless. I couldn’t speak no one until next day.My friends said don’t worry Karma will go around just relax.

Dear Mr Ozgur Your employment tribunal matter concluded in a multiday day hearing in early 2023 (prior to instructing this firm) and you were acting in person at the time. You came to us seeking representation concerning a remedy hearing listed for one day and an appeal matter at the appeal tribunal (at the time; the appeal hearing date was yet to be fixed by the appeal tribunal). There are two sides to each story. Your version of the story you published in this way just to defame the firm , there is no truth in it, contents were not correct. Although the retainer ended some time ago, we cannot and shall not disclose full information concerning a case in a public platform due to our rules, (we feel strongly we require to reply to correct your serious accusation) although our response / details we provide here to your negative review will be very limited. What you stating here is in accurate and not in line with events took place during the retainer. False information provided in a public platform, which were fabricated by you purely to discredit the staff, and our firm and to project a negative image. Your serious allegations are unreasonably wrong with no justification, and totally without merit. Your complaint fully addressed by us in detail last year almost five months ago by providing documentary evidence of the events that you complained about. We asked you to approach Legal Ombudsman Services by giving you full information at the time, so you can make a formal complaint, if you are unhappy with our response, by following the complaint procedure we provided. We conducted two matters on your behalf. Costs agreed at the initial meetings for the both matters and as agreed you paid the legal fees prior to the hearing as requested. On that basis we conducted your matter and one of our specialist counsels attended the remedy hearing. Other side made an offer prior to the hearing, to settle out of court but you rejected directly by communicating with other side solicitors, although we were acting solicitors at the time. Your instructions to us were to attend the remedy hearing as you wish the tribunal judge to make the decision at the remedy hearing, despite our advice and counsels’ advice to you prior to attending the remedy hearing, to settle matters out of court. Despite the advice we given, you confirmed us, that whatever the outcome from the tribunal judge you respect and accept. We have followed your reasonable instructions and attended the hearing as instructed by you. You were fully aware of the likely outcome of the remedy hearing as we advised you and you had a conference with the counsel concerning your matter/schedule of loss you provided to the tribunal prior to your instructions to our firm, which (we and our counsel advised you) was unrealistic. After the hearing you are sending threatening emails to us by asking us to return the funds you paid as you considering reporting the firm to authorities as counsel did not perform well at the hearing. We informed you previously that all hearings are recorded. This firm will not carryout last-minute work concerning any court/ tribunal hearing matters. We expect client to cooperate with us concerning evidence relevant to their case. You would have given relevant evidence prior to we submitting the hearing bundles (as we were requesting these for sometime from you ) not at the day of the hearing by emailing us and tribunal directly during the hearing (large bundle of case papers you previously used for the multiday hearing which were not provided to us prior to the remedy hearing). You confirmed to us all your medical evidence and other important evidence relevant to your case were filed at the Tribunal by you and served on other side prior to you instructing this firm and when we asked further up to date evidence from you, your answer was you have nothing further to give for the remedy hearing as Tribunal has everything. We shall not be engaging further on this matter in a public platform due to our professional rules but will address your complaint fully with documentary evidence if we hear from the legal ombudsman with your complaint in due course

Inefficient firm and felt I was ripped off as they overcharged

1

Please DO NOT use this firm. They are inefficient and unprofessional. The initial meeting is very inviting. They require upfront full payment. Once you make the payment the communication and professionalism comes to an end. At the end you will be overcharged.

A representative from Sdg Solicitors responded to this review on 11 January, 2024

Dear Mr Patel We feel it is important to correct what you are stating in a public platform in this manner, as we feel strongly you did this purely to bring this firm to disrepute. It is regrettable to note the contents of your review which is not correct. We delt with a sale transaction on your behalf and costs information provided from the outset and listed in the engagement letter sent to you. Solicitors do have costs transparency rules and we are stunned as to the contents of your review stating we have overcharged you as you were fully aware of the costs involved. Without communications we could not have completed a complex transaction. You had daily communications with us until the formal completion. You came to us through a previous contact of this firm. It is even more regrettable the way you have conducted your self during the transaction. We found the behaviour to be very disrespectful throughout for unknown reason. We informed you that we have zero tolerance policy of such behaviour from anyone. Despite this disrespectful behaviour we conducted our self in a professional manner until the formal completion in line with our rules We do find the behaviour we experienced during the transaction, well below the standard which we would expect from a human being. We went above and beyond with great difficulties to bring the matter to a conclusion despite the continues negativity from your end during the retainer. You were fully aware of the complications of the transaction and we honoured the initial costs agreement and did not charge additional fees for substantial work done. I ask you to refrain from making very serious false allegation to defame the firm in this way. We find your statement/unsubstantiated allegations without any faults on our part is defamatory. This statement is true reflection of who you are as a human being, what we experienced during the retainer and not a statement/reflection of this firm, our staff or how we conduct matters on behalf of firm’s clients. If these were true, we overcharged you, no communications during the retainer, acted in an unprofessional/inefficient manner then you have the opportunity to bring this matter attention to SRA and legal ombudsman. Information / procedure provided to you with our engagement letter so we can liaise with them directly thereafter if such a complaint received by us with evidence. Should you continue this behaviour further without a genuine reason or instruct any third party to continue to make false allegation in this manner, you leave us with no option but to take necessary actions accordingly without giving you further notice
