Martin has extensive experience in cases involving brain or spinal cord injury, as well as fatal cases. He is accredited on the Law Society’s Clinical Negligence Panel, and was the chief assessor of the panel from 2015-18. Martin joined Lanyon Bowdler in May 2023 as a solicitor in the Clinical Negligence Department. He was previously deputy head of clinical negligence at a Liverpool law firm for a number of years. The 2025 edition of Chambers UK recognises Martin for his work for claimants in medical negligence claims. He often handles brain injuries and spinal injuries, as well as delayed diagnosis of cancer cases. A client testimonial states: “Martin Hood doesn’t leave any stone unturned.
