Left feeling short changed.
I used Webster and Co. for a fixed price settlement agreement. Which was a legal part of redundancy process from my employer. The role as I see it was to for Webster and Co. to provide me with advice and ensure that I fully understood what I was signing. Overall, I feel that they feel short providing that service.
I had some specific questions around the agreement and how it would affect me. I was told that this was not covered and they provided me with a quotation for more than double the original price, which just didn’t make sense.
I am not completely naive and know that legal advice is expensive but in terms of time spent vs what was paid, this certainly wasn’t value for money. I have no way to know that my expectations were unreasonable, but this is how I felt about the service I received.

It was explained to the client that the contribution to fees paid by the employer covered advice as to the legal effect of entering into the Settlement Agreement if the client chose to do so having discussed other possible legal options. A full merits assessment was offered which the client declined.

Legal advice on redundancy process
My experience with Webster and Co has been excellent. Quick response to my enquiry of legal advice and have been very mindful of legal fees by allowing initial consultation remotely.
I was happy with the legal advice as they also been very patient in explaining the employment law and what are the next step that I could follow.
