Charles is a Partner in the Residential Property team and joined Everys in November 2022 when Everys and Stokes Partners merged practices. Charles is based at our Crewkerne office. Charles originally studied to be a barrister and was called to the bar in 2012 before deciding to shift allegiance and become a solicitor. Charles has specialised in residential property since 2014 and works with clients across a wide range of property-related transactions. He can assist with sales and purchases, both freehold and leasehold, and deal with remortgages and transfers of equity. He deals with first registrations, right-to-buy transactions, Help-to-Buy products and has a specialist knowledge of shared ownership schemes. He is also one of the few lawyers in England and Wales experienced in commonhold sales and purchases. Charles’s clients value his practical and pragmatic advice and approach. He aims to build long-term relationships with his clients by earning their trust and ensuring that the service he provides is always of the highest quality. He will always go that “extra mile” to achieve the best possible outcome. Away from the office, Charles served as a Crewkerne town councillor between 2018 and 2022 and has sat as the chair of the planning and highways committee. He is a dedicated member of the Army Cadet Force, holding the rank of Captain, and spends most of his free time working with young people within the Army Cadet Force. He is currently the County Shooting Officer and is responsible for delivering training to cadets across Somerset competing at both a national and international level
