Nahanni joined Everys in January 2024 and is an Associate in the Family team at our Exeter Office . She was admitted to the roll on 2 March 2022 having trained at a specialist family law firm. Nahanni attended Plymouth University and was awarded a First Class LLB Honors. Thereafter, she studied the Legal Practice Course alongside a Masters Degree in Law, Business and Management at the University of Law. Nahanni has experience of working with vulnerable clients on matters relating to divorce, financial separation, domestic abuse and children (public and private). Nahanni has previously represented clients who have been victims of domestic abuse, lost litigation capacity, or are/ have experienced neurodivergence. Nahanni understands the various difficulties some may face when instructing a lawyer following separation, and so promotes collaborative ways of resolving disputes to minimise unnecessary distress. Where this is not considered practical or proportionate, Nahanni will not hesitate to issue proceedings to bring the matter within the court arena. Nahanni has previously volunteered with organisations such as Safer Spaces who seek to raise awareness and assist those who have unfortunately been victim of assault or harassment. Outside of the office, Nahanni is also the Vice Chair of the Devon and Somerset Junior Lawyers Division having already served two consecutive years on the committee, and in her spare time enjoys walking, baking and spending time with family and friends.
