Highly recommended. Patrick Macken took over my disability discrimination case with only around three weeks before our Employment Tribunal- Final Hearing. Given the complexity of the matter, I was initially concerned that there simply wouldn’t be enough time for him to fully understand the case and all of the issues involved. It was a very complex and hard-fought case, with a huge amount of evidence to work through. The respondents side had been represented by a very experienced barrister from the early stages of proceedings, including the preliminary hearing, judicial mediation and also represented at the final hearing. We had been living and breathing the case for over two years, so we knew just how much there was to take in. We initially had email communications, and we first met Patrick properly on the morning of 10 August 2026 - the day of the final hearing Despite having an enormous amount of material and countless potential questions available to him, Patrick identified the important issues and chose the right lines of cross-examination. He delivered his questions confidently, clearly and professionally, and exposed a number of important points that needed to be challenged. His final submission was equally impressive. He presented our case with confidence and clarity, referred to the relevant legal principles and applicable case law, and brought together the key issues in a way that was compelling and easy to follow. Most importantly, both my wife and I felt completely at ease with Patrick. He gave us confidence at a time when we really needed it. My husband even told Patrick during the hearing that his cross-examination was every bit as good as we would have expected from a barrister, and we genuinely meant it. We could not have asked for better representation at such an important stage of the case - all things considered.
