I joined Duncan Lewis as a Caseworker in the Public Law and Immigration Department at Duncan Lewis in 2016. Working under the supervision of Laura Smith and Director Toufique Hossain, I assist on a variety of immigration related judicial review claimant cases, challenging decisions of the Secretary of State for the Home Department to unlawfully detain and/or remove foreign nationals. I am accredited as a Level 2 Senior Caseworker under the Law Society’s Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme, this allows me to advise and assist both privately and publicly funded clients and is a reflection of the level of expertise and knowledge I have in this area of law. I have extensive experience working with vulnerable clients, victims of torture, rape, clients that are detained, asylum seeking adults and unaccompanied asylum-seeking minors. I have previously undertaken voluntary work placements, at The European Union Delegation to China (Beijing) and Panda Mountain (Sichuan). I am a volunteer translator for China Development Brief.

I had the privilege of being represented by Sophie Chadd in my immigration case, and I cannot thank her enough for the life-changing impact her work has had on me.
Since the successful outcome of my case, my life has taken a truly positive turn. I'm currently studying at University.
Most significantly, my mental health has improved immensely—better than it's ever been.
I’m now focused on personal growth, enjoying life, learning every day, and giving back to society where I can. None of this would have been possible without Sophie’s dedication and expertise. Her work on my case helped open a new chapter in my life, and for that, I am endlessly grateful.
Thank you, Sophie, for everything.
