We instructed Andrew and his team in Dec 2018. Our son was starting in a specialist dyslexia school in the Jan and having just been refused an assessment by our LA took the view we would instruct early and hopefully cost wise it may be cheaper in the long run. We were self funding the provision therefore it was important that the process was as efficient as it could be!! Having deciding to assess ( independently of HCB input) they came into their own when a draft plan was issued and put the pressure on when our LA were showing no signs of finalising it. The LA did agree to the placement without the need for tribunal which I am not sure would have happened without legal representation. Costs were kept reasonable by use of juniors and trainees and frequent billing with schedule of timings meant we knew exactly how the money had been spent. Everyone was so helpful from Emily to Mollie, Rob and Andrew. The advice was honest and frank which we appreciated. HCB were recommended to us by our son's school and through a friend. We discovered many others who had used HCB all very happy with the service. We now can take a breath and hopefully sit back to see our son thrive in the right school.
