Stephen joined the firm in 2010 and is now a Partner heading our Dorking Office. He has acted for a variety of clients ranging from first time buyers, including those purchasing shared ownership properties, to those who buy and sell property on a frequent basis as part of their investment portfolio.
He has a wide range of clients including high net worth individuals and property developers. Stephen has recently acted in connection with the sale of a £6.85m country estate in Surrey as well as assisting a local company with the acquisition and subsequent commercial refinancing of a High Street redevelopment comprising mixed retail and residential units.
Stephen also acts for a number of individuals and businesses in connection with a wide range of landlord and tenant matters including new leases and lease renewals of commercial premises. He has helped a number of business owners in taking out their very first lease of commercial premises and takes pride in his ability to explain matters in a straightforward way.
He takes a very personal and proactive approach to his work and ensures that all parties are kept up to date. This personal service has proved invaluable to our clients and ensures their transaction is as stress-free as possible. Outside of work Stephen sits as a Magistrate in West Sussex and enjoys a range of sports including cricket and rugby as well as walking his rather mischievous beagle!

Great service buying and selling property
Stephen and Rachael have provided us with great service over the last few years. We have bought and sold a few properties via Meaby and Co. Their responses are always quick and helpful, and they have progressed things as fast as possible for us on a couple of purchases/ sales. Stephen has been a great help dredging up old paper work for me, as my record keeping didn't keep on top of all documents. Many thanks to you both, it's always a pleasure to work with you both, and nice to get back in touch with familiar people. We will be back if the need arises again down the line.

Excellent experience
Stephen was very helpful. This was not a straightforward matter as the seller died just between exchange and completion. Stephen was calm and reassuring.

House sale.
I went to Stephen at Meaby & Co. as a result of a recommendation.
What should have been a straight forward transaction slowly but surely became more and more complicated. Stephen kept me informed every step of the way and advised me accordingly. I felt that Stephen had my best interest at heart at all times.

Very efficient service and quality advice
I have used Meaby and Co on 3 occasions now and have been very impressed with the level of service as well as the ongoing advice throughout the process. On each sale there were specific challenges which had to be overcome. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this firm for property transactions.

Conveyancing
Stephen Carr has dealt with many property items for me and i found him to be very straightforward and easy to deal with. He is also very quick to return any calls and messages. I would not hesitate to recommend him and will always use him in the future. I also had a lot of dealings with Giselle who again was also very nice and helpful. Overall the service from Stephen and everyone i dealt with at Meaby & Co was extremely good.
