get it done attitude
It is a general frustration with Solicitors that when they go on holiday the file at best gets’ baby sat’ by colleagues. THP have a different attitude, Rachel Gaylor one of the senior partners actively promotes that she ensures files are fully managed by colleagues when the fee earner is on holiday, this she says ‘is not just for the benefit of the client but also to ensure her colleagues can go and come back from a break without added pressure’. I have seen this happen in action, I want to especially thank Emily Jones who took over a file from a colleague where I was buying a property. Emily’s enthusiasm and want to get it done attitude was great, Emily worked hard to get the purchase exchanged within the required timescale. Having been in the property profession for over 40 years I can say that this is a very refreshing attitude, typical THP but sadly not typical of most legal firms.

Superb professional, efficient service at a very difficult time
After a very short and unexpected illness my brother passed away leaving me sole Executor of his Will. Clearly this was a very difficult and emotional time. Emma was absolutely superb in helping me navigate through the whole process from dealing with funeral directors, obtaining Grant of Probate, payment of inheritance tax, dealing with house sale and generally bringing to a closure my brothers Estate. Along the way there were couple of "challenges" but Emma was brilliant in dealing with these and reaching resolution. At all times she kept in contact, keeping me up-to-date with developments as these occured with communication always clear and understandable (no legal jargon). Showed great patience in responding to my queries and questions. Overall the service provided was extremely professional and efficient and it was of great comfort in knowing all affairs were being dealt with by such a competent person who was also very sympathetic to the situation. It was actually a pleasure to work alongside Emma albeit under such circumstances

Long job to get a residential flat sale over the line
We'd all pretty much given up, the purchasers we're trying to ransome us with last minute reduction. THP were calm and resilient and patient when we threw our toys out of the pram. Great job, well done.

I had the absolute pleasure of using THP for a complex divorce following a recommendation. I can honestly say working with Julia Drury and Sophie was incredible. I can’t put in to words how understanding, supportive, effective and efficient she was. The pace Julia operated at and the commitment she showed, even staying in the office until 6:30pm on a Friday to give me the good news everything was completed in record time was brilliant.
You hear so many horror stories, but I can 100% say that this experience was FIRST CLASS.

In a conveyancing matter I was acting as the Surveyor/agent for the buyer and Rachel Gaylor of THP was acting for the buyer in the conveyancing process.
Rachel completed the purchase in less than 2 weeks, this was, in large part, due to Rachel and the sellers solicitor working in a most professionally yet collaboratively together in a way that benefited both parties.
I have been in practice over 40 years, I sadly see a lot a lawyers who in this time would not have even made contact with the lawyer on the other side yet alone completed the matter. I have worked with Rachel and THP for nearly 20 years, they are always professional and I am pleased to recommend the firm.

The service we received from Denise Stradling, at THP was first class from start to finish!
We had a rollercoaster of a journey over 12 months, with chains collapsing and things not going our way.
I know solicitors often have a reputation of not communicating but DS always called us back within a couple of hours to answer my (often stupid) questions. She helped us understand the process and gave great advice throughout the journey.
THP were fully committed in helping us achieve our deadline and really helped us to get into our dream home.

I recently used Sarah Imrie at THP for a sale and purchase. It was at the time the market was crazy busy with the stamp duty holiday and things taking much longer than usual and certain things being out of our control. Sarah kept on top of all matters, reporting back and often calling out of hours to keep me updated as it’s very difficult for me to take calls in the day due to my work. When things became very quite difficult, she stuck at it and refused to give in. I’m very happy to say we are now in our dream home and I’m very grateful for Sarah’s experience, determination and support, thank you!
