awful all round

they're really proactive at taking your money but once you start the process they are unbelievably slow. throughout my purchase of a flat I was constantly chasing and highlighting missed issues. it took nearly 6 months to buy a leasehold flat with no chain. you can never get through to anyone and i would not recommend

Highly recommend!

Steve and Michael acted for us on our first property purchase and we were in completely safe hands. Both of them made what could have been a daunting and stressful process as first-time buyers a seamless one! Throughout the process they were efficient and communicative. We will continue to recommend them to our family and friends. Thank you!

Work/advice on 90 year lease extension - 14 Thomas Court SY3 7EX

Steven managed the lease extension process for me in the very best professional manner, always prompt, courteous, very effective, and keeping me informed during a process which should have taken 4 - 6 months but in fact took 13 months, due entirely to the unprofessional, probably deliberate, delays on the part of the freeholder First Port, causing Steve and his colleague Ravi Bahmra additional work which should not have been necessary. Despite the intransigence of the freeholder, Steve and Ravi persevered and kept up the pressure on First Port and on their intermediate landlord Estates & Management, to bring the process to a successful conclusion. Added to this Steve managed to negotiate a 25% reduction in the unreasonably high fees of Knights, First Port's solicitors. I should add that Hanne fees for Steven were as expected, and acceptable. I am truly grateful to him, and to Ravi who managed the FTT application made necessary to preserve the timeline on our S.42 application, but with extra costs forced on us from this by First Port's delaying tactics.

Great experience

I couldn't be happier with the service and attention to detail received from all at Hanne & Co. This is the first time solicitors have replied in a timely manner, been ahead of the curve with enquiries and I haven't had to chase for basic updates. Would highly recommend and will be using them going forward. Thank you!

Highly recommended

We sold our much loved house with Steve's support in 2024. It was our first housing transaction for 14 years and everything had changed since we bought the property. Steve and his team were excellent throughout and made it all very straightforward. A friendly and supportive service with no hitches. I would highly recommend him for property transactions.
